Remember Queen Harper last year. She expected a pillow at feeding time. We are setting up the whelping area this week and just for fun grabbed the pillow and tossed it in. Harper immediately ran in the area and laid herself down. Starting at day 50 we do daily temps, and long strokes/gentle massage on momma. She loves this time and I think we will make sure some is done in her favorite spot with her pillow.

Meet Juliet. 💕
This sweet girl came to us just a week ago and she has been pure utter joy. She has the cutest run, comes to her name, sleeps all night and gets attention every where we go. We took her to the beach this weekend and she absolutely loved digging, meeting every dog and person she could, and found a favorite toy at the doggy store. Balls are definately this girls favorite. Louie has claimed her as his and brings his toys to her to play with. She will be a future momma in a few years.

Mella Pet Care made this portrait of Harper & Louie. They have an awesome axillary thermometer so we can monitor temps without doing the dreaded re**al. We are also expecting our new scale that will be able to weigh not only our puppies when they arrive but also Harper & Louie so we can make sure they stay just the perfect weight.

Crazy heat by us for the next four days, all over 100. Just a reminder before walking your dog to check the ground temp. Walk early or if evening, make sure and check the asphalt has cooled down.

Tully is moving from his Pacific beach town all the way to the East Coast. Excited for his cross country adventure he is going to take with his human and all the Atlantic adventures he will get to experience. And he gets to be connected with an east coast lagotto!

Our goal at Harper's Lagotti is to make our puppy families 100% successful. We believe in educating and involving our families from the start. We have a curriculum and purpose with everything we do with our puppies. Everything is intentional. We raise puppies who are confident and empowered to enter into their new worlds. We take our families on that journey by uploading pictures/videos daily, weekly email updates, discount on puppy training and lots of support for families and puppies at home. We are always there for lifetime support for our families. Our goal is to stand out and be the best we can possibly be.

Harper's Lagotti is expanding! We are expecting a litter of precious puppies at the end of June. Planned go home date is set for the end of August. We have a few spots left for this litter. Harper and Louie have blessed us with the sweetest and cutest puppies in the past, and we are excited about the possibility of keeping a Harper baby for our program's future.

In our breeding program, all our dogs are treated as cherished members of our family, living in our homes or in the homes of dedicated Guardian families, where each dog is given the exclusive care and attention they deserve. When momma dogs come to us, they receive home-raised momma nurturing and pampering, ensuring top-notch care, hygiene, and socialization.

The main goal of our Guardian Program is the well-being of our breeding dogs. By working with Guardian families, we can thoughtfully plan our litters, introduce champion bloodlines, and dedicate extensive time and training to our breeding program, without resorting to large kennels or outdoor runs. This approach aligns with our belief in ethical breeding practices.

Through the Guardian Home program, we are able to maintain an active breeding program without having to raise dogs in kennels. Our breeding dogs have the opportunity to live in permanent, loving homes with families, rather than being rehomed after their breeding days are over.

Guardians who join our program receive what we consider as the ultimate best puppy at minimal cost. We only select the highest quality puppies to continue our bloodline, ensuring they meet rigorous health and quality standards. Being a Guardian allows you to actively contribute to the improvement of our bloodline, which can be both exciting and emotionally fulfilling. We also invest a tremendous amount of time and effort to obtain the best knowledge of whelping and breeding, with specific puppy and momma care for our breed.

Happy 2nd Birthday Juna, Tonka, Stella, Frankie, Oakley, Biscotti & Georgie! Such great memories working with these lil ones. Loved their cuddles and silly antics. Today is Louie's 3rd birthday! He is a crazy, fun loving, adventurous lagotto. His nose is constantly sniffing everything. Loves making a mess in the mud. Like any lagotto, Louie, aka Fatso is constantly hungry despite not gaining any weight. French fries are his favorite food. He is very particular about his toys, which are small, almost choking hazards, green, and squeaky. Grass is his favorite place to lay. The superman pose is the preferred laying position. "Puppy love" is a perfect description of his feelings for Harper. He has become the biggest and best cuddler. Ear rubs and belly rubs are a must! And he loves teaching all his puppies the art of digging. We absolutely adore this boy! Happy Birthday Louie !
