Happy Feline Furrrrr-iday! Meet Alec. Isn't he gorgeous? Alec is just 3 months old and came to the SPCA as a teeny tiny baby. He was nurtured and cared for by a wonderful SPCA Foster Family, and now he's ready to find a purr-ever home! This little guy has a silly kitten-y purr-sonality and loves to play. Bart sees himself in your future! Bart is a 10 month old Sulcata Tortoise. He is looking for a new forever home! Bart is still a young 'un, and he has quite a ways to "grow." Sulcatas can grow up to 150 pounds as adults and can live a very long time! He's pretty small right now, but Bart's new family will need to be prepared for his ever-changing sizes. He is super-cool! Thanks to your support, we rescue thousands of injured or orphaned wild animals every single year. Like this bobcat, who was just a kitten when he was found alone in the middle of Elkhorn Road in May. He was healthy and alert, but orphaned. Our wildlife rescue team took good care of him and then transferred him to our friends at WERC in Morgan Hill so he could be raised with other baby bobcats. He returned to us last week to be released back into Elkhorn slew. Thank you for your love that makes all our rescues possible!

Thanks to your support, we rescue thousands of injured or orphaned wild animals every single year. Our rescued squirrels are getting in the Halloween spirit and enjoying a delicious autumn treat. Thank you for your love that makes all our rescues possible! We'd love to see your Halloween-inspired pet (or wildlife) photos!

Unfortunately, some pets come to us strays or surrenders and it’s sad to know that they were somebody’s baby once! It is sad, but we can assure that all these wonderful pets revived lots of hugs and kisses under our care. This allow them to get a second chance at finding their furever home where they can be loved and cared for by you! All these beautiful fur babies are available for adoption and are looking forward to meeting you, thank you for giving our pets a chance ❤️

We are having an adoption event this weekend, on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th!You can choose your own adoption fee on all dogs, cats, puppies, guinea pigs, rabbits, roosters, pigs, and sheep, only at SPCA Monterey County. There will be no holds during the event! If interested on any pets before the event don’t wait, they would love to meet you as soon as possible!

October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! Meet some of our adorable adoptable dogs, these fur babies are patiently waiting to meet you! ❤️
