Update on Miss Pip:

Pips time at the farm came to a close but with some very exciting progress! I’m so happy that I got to wrap up such a fun and productive project working with Pip! Pip came to me in June as a three year old who hasn’t really had much work done to learn some manners and work on groundwork/some foundational training. In the few weeks she had with me we saw vast improvements with her. She learned how to cross tie, stand tied up for extended periods of time, lunge, lead off body movements, respectful eating habits, and (the most exciting) how to load on the trailer!! Tonight was her last night here and to my great excitement she loaded right up on the trailer (for context when we went to originally get her it took us 4 hours to load her on the trailer). Consistency and patience pays off! A big thanks to Monica Rider for trusting me with your girl and I look forward to our continued work with her! Can’t wait to watch her grow, she’s gonna be a pretty cool gal!

Riding and working with horses is one of the greatest experiences for a kid to have in my opinion! It teaches independence, self-sufficiency, confidence, compassion, leadership, work ethic, and so much more. In order to work with such a large animal and direct its actions it makes you tough and also enhances your critical thinking and problem solving skills, figuring out solutions to problems you may run into. I love watching the growth of my riders and how they become more and more confident and resilient each lesson! It’s one of my greatest joys. And also to watch them become more compassionate and loving my horses as their own😊
