We can’t thank our community enough for all the love & blessings for our kittens! Thank you!!
Waking up this morning, feeling so incredibly humbled, blessed & thankful to our phenomenal kitten rescue friends & followers. Yesterday’s Shore Gives More & Giving Tuesday campaigns helped us reach more than double our goal. Plus the donations still coming in from the Cedarcrest Purrrfect Raffle, we’ll generate triple what our goal was.
First & foremost THANK YOU to our community, without you, this “little rescue that could” would not be able to help the thousands of kittens that have come through our rescue & our homes. These babies are a labor of love for us, and we dedicate so much of our personal lives to nurturing them - it’s wonderful when we can give them everything they need. Thank you, from the bottom our hearts, Thank You! ❤️
Second, thank you to Melissa Goodyear for taking on the task of coordinating all the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore Shore Gives More campaign. It was not something I had in me to take on when I’m so overwhelmed with so many other kitten & rescue responsibilities. I’m so grateful she agreed to accept the challenge. She’s done phenomenal work getting the information out to our followers & without her, none of this would have been possible. She & her family are my lifeline to being able to help intake kittens until I can find a foster for them. I adore her sweet girls, Kaylen & Lily - they are exceptional fosters in their own right!
Thank you to our incredible team of fosters, we’re at almost 30 strong now!!! But our core group, really goes above and beyond to not only foster, but dedicate every weekend to being at our Kitten Kafe - Cedarcrest Fosters. I am so incredibly honored to have these families helping our rescue. Thank you so much, Ashlee, Dawn, Marly, Jesse, Suzie, Sherri, Erin for helping with last night’s reception while I traveled to Chincoteague to pick up our surgery kittens. There are always so many wheels in motion with this rescue & I can’t thank these ladies enough for helping keep me (somewhat) sane. Although, Ashlee is quickly following in my crazy cat lady footsteps… but who can say no to her sweet daughter, Jo?? This amazing girl loves kittens, loves fostering & like the Goodyear girls, is an incredible foster as well.
Thank you to Jamie & Jess for making our holiday raffle a huge success!!!! Their dedication & hard work on these raffles is amazing & I’m always in awe about how they keep it all straight. You ladies rock!
All this being said … this is all about the kittens. It always will be about the kittens. It always has been about the kittens. 100% of your donations go directly to their care, 100%!! You are helping us save their lives!
Currently, we have several kittens receiving care & attending regular vet appointments for various infections, illnesses & diseases. We also have 2 kittens requiring eye surgeries. Your generosity has helped us so much in being able to cover their medical care. We also still have bottle babies & young kittens coming in every day! We can’t do it without you … Thank you!
