LAMS hosted an educational clinic with the High Standards 4-H Club on Monday! The 4-Hers learned about routine and emergency care and practiced physical exams and bandaging legs! Everyone did a great job!

Dr. Porter is back from Arizona where she completed an intensive course on advanced equine dentistry! Annual oral exams are a critical part of your horses' overall health! There's more going on in there than just sharp points and getting a float!

Look at Dr. Gardner performing an umbilical hernia repair on a young foal!

Although many umbilical hernias are small and resolve without treatment, occasionally they are too large and can entrap bowel. These hernias require surgery to repair them and prevent a life threatening strangulation of the bowel.
