Weatogue Stables, a premier dressage boarding and training stable in Salisbury, CT, has openings for full and part time staff.

Our staff are on the books, with an hour for lunch, 7am-5pm, 4 days/week. Currently in need of week day and weekend help. At least $16/hr but more with experience. Time and a half on holidays. Can also be part-time. We are flexible!

Responsibilities include feeding, turnout, barn/stall cleaning, general care. Possibility for lessons with USDF Gold Medalist Bobbi Carleton, possible to bring your own horse.

Friendly barn, quality horses, no drama; professional, empathetic management. Join our great team!

Also, we have puppies, regularly provided donuts, snacks, unlimited coffee!

A fun weekend showing Stuart at Global 😊. Not great scores, but he was so relaxed all throughout both tests! When the rider can get the pi and pa better during a test and stop making mistakes the scores will improve!! Such a journey of learning!! So thankful to be able to show Roxanne’s lovely boy!! Thank you Bill Warren for the great coaching! Now to start packing for the trip north this week. All ponies have trained well and we’ve learned a lot!!

We are seeking a mature and responsible individual to lead and work with the staff to carryout barn work and continue our high standards of horse care. This individual will also oversee maintenance and care of the property.

The barn offers a warm lunchroom with all the essentials, several heated tack rooms, and a large bathroom with washer and dryer for those messy/wet days! We also have a nice, heated indoor arena with viewing room and a large outdoor arena!
In the spring and summer months we host several schooling and recognized dressage shows which are always a blast to work and attend! This postion would be perfect for someone who wants to learn all there is to know about proper horse care!
Barn Duties Include: stall cleaning, blanketing and booting horses, feeding, turning horses in and out to pasture, field mucking, general barn maintenance and property upkeep!
We are looking for a person who works well independently and with others!! Some previous horse experience preferred but we are willing to train someone eager to learn!

Don’t want to risk anyone’s safety.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately we have decided to cancel our first show for the season, as it falls too closely to the “phase 2 opening” for CT.
We feel more confident to wait and begin our shows with our August 9th CDA schooling show.

What a wonderful day for our fall show! Lovely rides by all. And these 3 lovely ladies and rode for their century club rides!! Anne Fribourg and 25yo Max. Paddy Rossbach and 21yo Princess Di (Paddy’s second! century ride!), and Laurice Helmer with her 29!! year old Pavarotti. So much fun to be a part of their day!!

A fun afternoon at the CDA awards luncheon. So proud of our horses, and so thankful to have such wonderful owners!! Sue White's Rawleigh reserve champ I-1 and champion FEI freestyles, Helen van der Voort's Emeril 3rd place at both 3rd and 4th level! My own Flingh and Royal champions at 3rd and 4th level respectively!! Also Weatoguers Elvia Gignoux and Jan Localio placed at training level. And honorary Weatoguer Lori Chatfield champion at first level with her Cathari!! Phew!!! 😁
