We are getting these siblings on Tuesday. Where are our Doodle lovers? Welcome Boo(f), Zero(f), Ghost(m) and Casper(m). Believe it or not these are Aussie Labordoodles. I know, I know, they do not look like it but they are. We have DNA tests on mom and dad. Born October 31, 2023. We have 2 girls and 2 boys. They will be given all shots, microchipped and heartworm tested immediately once received. They are owner surrenders. All the other pups in the accidental litter that looked like Doodles got snatched up and these guys were left. They are 9 months old. If you are interested in one of these pups please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.

That smile!!!😁
Welcome Bear & Brownie. They come to us from the Union County Animal Services, NC . Their owner is in the hospital and can no longer care for them. They are bonded pair of Chi We**ie brothers at 10 years old. Now don't let the age fool you they are absolutely full of s***k. Brownie demands all your attention and love where as Bear is more subtle. They are 14 and 10 lbs. Up to date on all vaccines and we will booster those in a few weeks. They will need to be microchipped and scheduled for neuter due to still being intact. Both boys are dog, cat and people friendly. They are also housebroken. Brownie had 3 nails embedded in his pads and had to be removed by the Vet. If you would like to meet these boys please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Zeus had a spa day yesterday. 🙂 Look how handsome he is. He is schedule for neuter tomorrow and hopefully a forever home soon after. He doesn't like to sit still for pics.
Congratulations to sweet Malibu for being adopted! Malibu came to us as an owner surrender.... because according to his previous owner he shed too much.
Well, his new parents don't seem to mind, and from the looks of it neither do his new siblings.
Happy trails, Malibu!! We are so happy you have found a family who loves you...hair and all!
A big congratulations to our boy Sam for being adopted! Sam is the chocolate lab who stole all of our hearts when he was owner surrendered to us due to the other household dog bullying him and the owners couldn't keep them separated any longer.
You might remember that Sam was previously adopted out by two different families. Unfortunately, the first adopter's dogs didn't like Sam, and the second adopter loved him, but realized maybe a lab was a little too much for her to handle.
We were finally able to find a good fit for him, and Sam won big! His new parents are very active, have a fenced in backyard, and fell in love with him.
Happy trails, Sam! We are all rooting for you and are hoping your newest family will be the ones to break the spell!
*UPDATE* Due to the large amount of applications we have already received on the puppies we will no longer we taking any more applications on them. Mom is still available at this time.
We have been keeping a secret in the FHL Family........ We have mini Aussie Doodle puppies. 😍 😍
They are 3 weeks old and will be available for adoption at 6 weeks of age. Their mom Willoa will also be available at that time. There are 3 boys and 1 girl. Mom is 26 lbs. Dad is also a mini red Aussie Doodle that has already been adopted out. We kept mom and babies a secret until we could find out if she was definitely pregnant and then how the babies progressed since we lost an entire liter several months ago. If interested, please send us your email to obtain an Adoption Application. We will be taking $100 deposits on these babies once your application is approved.

Congratulations on Depot for being adopted! Depot came to us from the community and is nothing but 8 lbs. of love and kisses. This guy walks on a leash like a champ and loves to cuddle.
A big thanks to Doggone Fun for taking care of this sweet guy until his forever family came along.
Happy trails, little Depot! We will miss you!
Welcome back, Ruby.
Meet Ruby, who comes to us from the community. Ruby is a 5 and a 1/2-year-old Pit Bull who like her name, really is a gem. She had a rough start in life, living most of her days confined in a crate. She came to us scared, unsocialized, with a very bad coat and skin. This girl was in need of major TLC. Ruby is such a happy girl now and is ready to go to her forever home. She walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, loves to play with her toys, and she will literally jump in your lap for cuddles. She would be better in a home with no cats and does tend to be dog selective.
We were overjoyed when Ruby recently got adopted but sadly after a few weeks, she was returned to us due to no fault of her own. The adopters had a life changing event and no longer had the ability to provide her with a stable home environment. They were very upset about having to return her, so please, no negative comments.
The adopters had this to say about her: Ruby is affectionate, housebroken, respectful of their personal belongings, and loved being part of their everyday lives. They also said that she loved meeting new people. Ruby is living back in boarding, and she would love to be given a third chance in life to show you how much love this girl has in her heart. If you have a place for her in your home and life to either foster or adopt, please reach out to us for an application.

Welcome Jolene to the FHL family! One of our teammates found Jolene abandoned and tied to a trash can. Jolene is a 2-year-old, 23 lb., Carolina Dog mix. She is very sweet and smart and loves to give and get affection. She walks well on the leash, gets along with other dogs and cats, and is very well behaved. Jolene is current on all of her vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and will be scheduled for spay within the next few weeks. She is also in need of a foster home and is currently living in boarding. If you are interested in either fostering or adopting Jolene, please reach out to us for an application.
Welcome Zeus. This stunning boy comes to us an an Owner Surrender due to being too mouthy with the small children in the home. Zeus is an unaltered, 80 lb, solid black AKC Registered German Shepherd. His birth date is March 10, 2023. We will not be supplying the AKC Registration with his adoption. However, we will allow you to view them. He knows basic commands and is house and crate trained. He does have a history of going to doggy day care and interaction with other dogs. He was introduced to the Great Danes and did excellent with no issues. Per his previous owner he has to always have something in his mouth. The family is very broken up about having to rehome this beautiful boy so please no rude comments. If you are interested in meeting Zeus please send us your email address so we can send you a Adoption Application.
ADOPTED
Welcome Malibu. He is a 2 year old, 33 lb Mini Sheltie. Neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on all shots.
MUST have a fenced in yard. He is a definite flight risk. He acts as if he has never been outside and it overwhelmed him.
He is non reactive to dogs or cats. Very shy and slow to warm up.
He was surrendered because "he sheds to much".
Here is our price guide for this weekends sale from 12pm to 4pm Sunday.
ALL items are BRAND NEW.
Location - 714 Morrison Ave, Salisbury, NC 28146
This Sunday August 18th you will be able to come and shop between the hours of 12pm and 4pm. Please try to have exact change. We do Venmo, PayPal and Zelle as well.

Welcome Archibald to the FHL Family. He comes to us from the Community. Archiebald is a small mixed breed who is very unique. He has no hair on his grey spots. He comes from to us as an Owner Surrender. He is around 12 weeks old, 10.2 lbs, he has had his first set of shots and is microchipped. Archie is good with everyone he meets. He just wants to be around you and cuddle up on the bed. He is crate trained and house broken. He can go to any type of home. If you would be interested in meeting him please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
ADOPTED
Welcome Diesel. Diesel was listed on a local rehoming site. A wonderful citizen met him and saw he needed help. She actually paid the $200 "rehoming fee" to make sure he was safe. She has loved him for the past 48 hrs but soon realized a Great Dane is more than she bargained for. Especially when they aren't housebroken. She reached out to us last night for help and here he is. 😁 Diesel is 9 months old (DOB 11/14/2023 - we have his Breeder Record). He is very underweight. The previous "owner" was not cooperative with Vet records but with some convincing today regarding calling Animal Control she has offered the name of the Vets Office up to us. Diesel will be going to the Vet Monday to be checked over, get any needed vaccines and will be microchipped. He is sooooo sweet and shy. Diesel is going to be HUGE. At 9 months he is taller than Quinton. Not only is he extremely tall his feet are humongous. We have started slow feeding him Puppy Chow Complete with mother's milk for now until we can get a better idea of what he needs. Also, he has been started on crate training and was introduced to the other large dogs and did excellent. The home we picked him up from had cats and he was completely non reactive to them all around him.
More of Gus. 😍
Welcome Gus to the FHL Family. We were contacted last week by our Veterinarian about Gus. His owner had brought him in to be euthanized due to running all over his smaller dogs. 😬 Gus is a puppy still. They reached out to us and here he is. Gus is a 53 lb, 6 month old hound mix. The Veterinarian believes he will he a huge boy. He has had his 1st set of shots and will be microchipped and neutered coming up. He is very dog friendly and people friendly. Gus loves to play and doesn't realize his size. He is just a very goofy puppy that needs to learn his commands and some manners. It is apparent no one has taken the time with him to teach him anything. If you would like to meet this precious boy please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
ADOPTED
Have you met Depot?
Meet Depot, who comes to us from the community. He is an approximately 1–2-year-old, 8 lb., Chihuahua. He is dog and cat friendly, current on all of his vaccines, microchipped, and is scheduled for neuter in the upcoming weeks. Depot will need a home with no small children, as he is reported to not be good with young children. He is excellent on the leash and walks right by your side....well in his case, by your ankles. Depot is very smart and gives great kisses and loves all the loving he can get. He is currently in need of a foster as well and living in boarding. If you are interested in Depot, please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Congratulations to Deisha for being adopted! Deisha was one of the Great Danes who were found abandoned in a trailer in SC. As luck would have it, one of our pastime favorites, Petey was looking for a sister per his new parents and entered into their life was Deisha. They are now best friends and when Deisha got sick a couple of weeks ago, Petey didn't leave her side. (She's all better now.)
A big thanks to Doggone Fun for boarding Deisha while she waited for her forever family.
Happy trails, Deisha! You will never be left alone again, sweet girl.

Our handsome Great Dane boss man 3 year old Quenton had a meet and greet today and no one showed up.🤔 We were beyond excited at the thought of him getting a home. He has blossomed into this hilariously funny, fat rolled tubby wubby boy. He has chilled out over time and all he wants is loving, belly rubs and kisses. He is EXTREMELY housebroken. He will literally scream and cry if he has to potty and you are sleep or not paying him attention. Since the attached video he has gained about 30 lbs and has the cutest fat rolls. He SERIOUSLY is the sweetest, gaseous 🤢 boy ever!!. He deserves a home with older childer or adults only that he can just be. If you are interested in adopting him, please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Welcome Ruby and Hunter to the FHL Family. They come to us from the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter.. They are 6 month old Great Danes. They are shy at first and almost immediately warm up and are absolutely ADORABLE!! Both are underweight and will need a slow feeder because given the chance they gorge and of course throw it up because they ate so fast. Hunter is 59 lbs, Ruby is 46 lbs) Both have had their first set of shots and will be Vet check by our Vet this coming week and microchipped. They do not need to be adopted together as originally thought. They have shown they are independent of each other and make friends easily with other dogs. If you are interested please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application. Pictures to come shortly. They just won't stand still. 😁
Reggie, Arnold, and Hallie are doing so good and are having so much fun now that they can run around together. They are all available for adoption or foster home!
Our handsome Apollo had an excellent Vet visit this am. He is 63 lbs., heartworm negative and does have skin infection which he was given medication to treat. He also has a lot of scabs from where his mattes were so tight. He is so very sweet and loving. He does however drool excessively in a vehicle. It was also determined he is a Labradoodle.
ADOPTED Here is HOPE!! 😁 She received 2 days of IV fluids and has been eating. She is still not healthy enough for her shots. Our Vet is anticipating she can get those in 7-14 days depending on her progress. Doesn't she look great!?!
Lila’s puppies are so cute!! We still have 5 girls left who are available for adoption. German Shepherd mixes. If you are interested in meeting, reach out to us for an application!
We haven't shared what has been going on with Petunia our English Bulldog girl the last few weeks but it has been alot. Our sweet, gorgeous Petunia who is severely heartworm positive was confirmed weeks ago to definitely be pregnant with 7-8 pups. Due to her condition and not being able to get her shots or start her heartworm fast kill we opted to have her moved to West Innes Animal Hopsital for IV meds and comfort care. She had developed an upper respiratory issue and it was a horrible strain on her body. She came home Saturday a week ago and had been doing excellent. This Sunday she went into labor and it just wore her down. She didn't have the strength to take care of the pups like she should. She ended up having 11 puppies. Yes, 11!! Only 5 of those were alive. They were immediately sent to our trusted bottle feeder and within 36 hrs all had passed away. As sad as this may be and as heartbroken as we are we take solace in knowing we did everything we could to give the puppies a chance. With that being said, Petunia went this morning and had xrays to make sure there were no more pups. She was given her vaccines and started on her Proheart fastkill treatment. Petunia does have a new family that has been waiting patiently for her to get thru this and are anxious to bring her home. So, on a good note she is healthy and now has a chance to be the healthy 2 year old girl she needs to be. She didn't get a fair start being bred to death and not being vaccinated. But she has a great future ahead with everyone's prayers.
We still have some of Lila’s puppies available for adoption! 6 girls and 1 boy!! If you are interested in meeting these adorable pups reach out for an application.
The Great Dane puppies are at it bright an early this morning. They were started on puppy food this week due to mom not being able to handle the pain of the claws and teeth. They have just tore her tummy up. As you can see they are doing excellent at 4 weeks. We have 4 of these babies spoken for already. If you want to get in line please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Puppy update... Vixen is being an awesome mom. All are fat and sassy as you can hear. There is one little black female runt in the bunch. We tried to mive Vixen out of the bathroom but she was just to stressed out and anxious in a bigger area. She is soo good. We already have approved applications on 2 of the puppies.
Please welcome Lyla to the FHL Family. She comes to us from a Humane Society up near Asheville. She was adopted out by them last year. It was found that her adoptors gave her to someone who gave her to someone x4. She then ended up with a Rescue and was adopted out only to then be returned again after 3 days for dog aggression and chasing the persons cat. AND she was scheduled for euthanasia. All parties involved have said that she is the perfect dog except for dog aggression by the previous adoptor. She has excellent manners inside and out. Is housebroken, doesn't beg for food, is quiet, crate trained, is up to date on vaccines and loves everyone. Lila is a 3 year old, 115 lb, spayed Great Dane. She had cherry eyes but has since had surgery to correct. She has also had her stomach tacked. She rides great in a vehicle, doesn't get car since (hence the 3 hour ride home today). Loves to be loved on and gives love. She was brought in today and slowly introduced to a few of the dogs and as you can see in the video there were no issues. No growls, hair raising, nothing with bigger dogs. She will not be exposed to the smaller dogs at all but this is amazing how she is interacting. So glad we were contacted and she was not euthanized. We would recommend no smalls dogs as a precaution and we were told no cats due to a past history of chasing one. It is unknown if she is good with kids. If you would like to meet Lyla please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
