Our handsome Great Dane boss man 3 year old Quenton had a meet and greet today and no one showed up.🤔 We were beyond excited at the thought of him getting a home. He has blossomed into this hilariously funny, fat rolled tubby wubby boy. He has chilled out over time and all he wants is loving, belly rubs and kisses. He is EXTREMELY housebroken. He will literally scream and cry if he has to potty and you are sleep or not paying him attention.
Since the attached video he has gained about 30 lbs and has the cutest fat rolls. He SERIOUSLY is the sweetest, gaseous 🤢 boy ever!!. He deserves a home with older childer or adults only that he can just be. If you are interested in adopting him, please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Welcome Ruby and Hunter to the FHL Family. They come to us from the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter.. They are 6 month old Great Danes. They are shy at first and almost immediately warm up and are absolutely ADORABLE!! Both are underweight and will need a slow feeder because given the chance they gorge and of course throw it up because they ate so fast. Hunter is 59 lbs, Ruby is 46 lbs) Both have had their first set of shots and will be Vet check by our Vet this coming week and microchipped. They do not need to be adopted together as originally thought. They have shown they are independent of each other and make friends easily with other dogs. If you are interested please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application. Pictures to come shortly. They just won't stand still. 😁

More of Lulu. She won't stop moving and is so happy.
Reggie, Arnold, and Hallie are doing so good and are having so much fun now that they can run around together. They are all available for adoption or foster home!
Goofy Rufus is hoping he’ll get to chase his tail in his forever home soon! ♥️
Our handsome Apollo had an excellent Vet visit this am. He is 63 lbs., heartworm negative and does have skin infection which he was given medication to treat. He also has a lot of scabs from where his mattes were so tight. He is so very sweet and loving. He does however drool excessively in a vehicle. It was also determined he is a Labradoodle.

Here is HOPE!! 😁 She received 2 days of IV fluids and has been eating. She is still not healthy enough for her shots. Our Vet is anticipating she can get those in 7-14 days depending on her progress. Doesn't she look great!?!
Lila’s puppies are so cute!! We still have 5 girls left who are available for adoption. German Shepherd mixes. If you are interested in meeting, reach out to us for an application!
We haven't shared what has been going on with Petunia our English Bulldog girl the last few weeks but it has been alot. Our sweet, gorgeous Petunia who is severely heartworm positive was confirmed weeks ago to definitely be pregnant with 7-8 pups. Due to her condition and not being able to get her shots or start her heartworm fast kill we opted to have her moved to West Innes Animal Hopsital for IV meds and comfort care. She had developed an upper respiratory issue and it was a horrible strain on her body. She came home Saturday a week ago and had been doing excellent. This Sunday she went into labor and it just wore her down. She didn't have the strength to take care of the pups like she should. She ended up having 11 puppies. Yes, 11!! Only 5 of those were alive. They were immediately sent to our trusted bottle feeder and within 36 hrs all had passed away. As sad as this may be and as heartbroken as we are we take solace in knowing we did everything we could to give the puppies a chance. With that being said, Petunia went this morning and had xrays to make sure there were no more pups. She was given her vaccines and started on her Proheart fastkill treatment. Petunia does have a new family that has been waiting patiently for her to get thru this and are anxious to bring her home. So, on a good note she is healthy and now has a chance to be the healthy 2 year old girl she needs to be. She didn't get a fair start being bred to death and not being vaccinated. But she has a great future ahead with everyone's prayers.
We still have some of Lila’s puppies available for adoption! 6 girls and 1 boy!! If you are interested in meeting these adorable pups reach out for an application.
The Great Dane puppies are at it bright an early this morning. They were started on puppy food this week due to mom not being able to handle the pain of the claws and teeth. They have just tore her tummy up. As you can see they are doing excellent at 4 weeks. We have 4 of these babies spoken for already. If you want to get in line please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
Vixen's pups are 2 weeks old today.
Puppy update... Vixen is being an awesome mom. All are fat and sassy as you can hear. There is one little black female runt in the bunch. We tried to mive Vixen out of the bathroom but she was just to stressed out and anxious in a bigger area. She is soo good. We already have approved applications on 2 of the puppies.
Please welcome Lyla to the FHL Family. She comes to us from a Humane Society up near Asheville. She was adopted out by them last year. It was found that her adoptors gave her to someone who gave her to someone x4. She then ended up with a Rescue and was adopted out only to then be returned again after 3 days for dog aggression and chasing the persons cat. AND she was scheduled for euthanasia. All parties involved have said that she is the perfect dog except for dog aggression by the previous adoptor. She has excellent manners inside and out. Is housebroken, doesn't beg for food, is quiet, crate trained, is up to date on vaccines and loves everyone. Lila is a 3 year old, 115 lb, spayed Great Dane. She had cherry eyes but has since had surgery to correct. She has also had her stomach tacked. She rides great in a vehicle, doesn't get car since (hence the 3 hour ride home today). Loves to be loved on and gives love. She was brought in today and slowly introduced to a few of the dogs and as you can see in the video there were no issues. No growls, hair raising, nothing with bigger dogs. She will not be exposed to the smaller dogs at all but this is amazing how she is interacting. So glad we were contacted and she was not euthanized. We would recommend no smalls dogs as a precaution and we were told no cats due to a past history of chasing one. It is unknown if she is good with kids. If you would like to meet Lyla please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.
