2026 is the Year of the Horse❤️

I don’t know exactly what 2026 will bring.
But I know this—

2026 is the year of the horse.

The year of slowing down
without falling behind.
The year of choosing depth
over noise.
The year of trusting instinct
instead of chasing approval.

Horses don’t rush into a new season.
They step into it steady.
Aware.
Grounded.

And that’s the energy I’m carrying into 2026.

The year of listening more closely—
to my body,
to my intuition,
to the quiet places
that have always told me the truth.

The year of building trust
instead of forcing outcomes.
The year of showing up consistently,
even when no one’s watching.
The year of understanding
that strength doesn’t have to be loud
to be powerful.

2026 feels like the year
we stop explaining ourselves.

The year we choose what feels right
instead of what looks impressive.
The year we honor the pace
that actually sustains us.

Horses don’t apologize for their needs.
They don’t perform for validation.
They don’t chase what isn’t aligned.

They move when it’s time.
They rest when it’s not.
They trust the rhythm
that’s already written into them.

That’s the lesson.

Let 2026 be the year of the horse—
the year of calm confidence.
The year of grounded growth.
The year of quiet strength.

The year we stop rushing the process
and start respecting it.

The year we remember
that everything meaningful
takes time.

And maybe—
just maybe—
that’s when things finally fall into place.

Here’s to 2026.
Steady.

We’re so proud of what we’re building at Lazy J Ranch, a place where the healing power of the horse brings people together. Through our programs, kids don’t just learn to ride; they learn confidence, empathy, responsibility, and how to support one another.

From our youngest Tiny Tots to our growing Jr Riders who step in to lead and support our tiny tots, our horses who help create connection, trust and a true sense of belonging and our amazing team who teaches each student as they would their own family. This isn’t just a facility, it’s a community and family! We are so proud of everything we have to offer! ❤️🐴❤️

To our team your dedication, patience, professionalism, and compassion are the backbone of everything we do. You show up in all weather, with open hearts and steady hands, and give so much of yourselves to our horses, our clients, and each other. We truly could not do this work without you.

To our horses our greatest teachers and healers. You give trust, kindness, patience, and honesty every single day. You carry stories, fears, hopes, and victories with quiet strength. You remind us what presence, connection, and unconditional acceptance truly mean. We are endlessly grateful for each of you.

To our volunteers thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your hearts so generously. Your willingness to step in, lend a hand, and support our mission helps create the safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment that defines our ranch.

Meet Our Beloved Melena 🤍

A gentle teacher, a kind soul, and a favorite among our Tiny Tots and Adult Students. She loves helping shape young riders in our Intro to Horsemanship and Horse Powered Reading programs, then seamlessly transitions to advanced riders with her beautiful movement, smart athleticism, and natural talent. This photo captures her beauty but it’s her heart and versatility that truly shine and makes her so special.❤️

So excited for our friends at Hawksrone Stables. Only a 9 day build. Someday we will be lucky enough to have one too so we can do Amazing things for more people year round!! GOALS!!
