Main Stream Pets started as a small grooming shop Doggie Doos and Cats Too. We focus on American Made food products in all categories of pets we sell supplies for. We will sell reptiles, birds, coming soon freshwater and saltwater fish. Most of our dog and cat foods offer loyalty programs offering free food. While we are just beginning under our new name we have been serving Rowan and surrounding

communities for 10 years as Doggie Doos and Cats Too we will just as hard to earn your business as the go to place for all your pet supply needs.

We are looking for a individual to work on our retail side. This job will be 30-35 hours a week.

Things that are a must! Willing to show up for work everyday. Must be ok with handling Reptiles, rodents, insects, and dogs and cats.

Hours will set Tuesday-Friday 11-6pm and Saturday 10-4pm. This position will be closing the store daily. Must be able to count money and change. Self motivated and comfortable being left alone. If this is you stop by and fill out application!

That’s right we are seeking someone to join our team. The position will be in our grooming salon. We are looking for hard working energetic self starters to wash dogs in our busy groom shop that shows up and ready to work daily .

This job hours are Tuesday through Saturday weekly off Sunday and Mondays every week. We would prefer someone who some experience in bathing dogs. Pay will be based on experience.

We start daily at 8am and work until your done daily. You will average 25 hours a week give or take on busy and slow days.

Doing the Right Thing

Main Stream Pets began as a little grooming shop beside our home in 1993. Our founder Pam Hamby started her business as Doggie Doos and Cats too a small grooming salon. The goals were simple. Be home when our daughters returned home from school and make the business successful enough to keep the rental being rented to Pam’s business and “Do the Right Thing”

As our children grew up and needed less of Pam’s direct attention our business grew. Upgraded the rental several times trying to keep up with Pam’s business. Late in 2011 we added a small section of Dog products in our store. We started doing our homework and attending trade shows and educating ourselves to possibly try and really grow the business. Wasn’t very long and the retail was growing too. Late in 2013 we decided to make the commitment of becoming Full Line Pet Store.

We opened in March of 2014 as Main Stream Pets with a few simple goals. First and foremost “Do the Right Thing” Second, provide only the best products in our retail store. Today our store host two Low/Cost Vaccine Clinics along with a Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic once a month. We work with several local non kill animal shelters with fundraising, adoption events and much more. We also support a great organization helping pet owners pay for medical expenses.

Pam’s husband Scott Hamby has been apart of the store since its very beginning however began working there in 2015 on a full time basis.
