We are just trying to help the owner find a new home for their dog.

The owner’s information is listed below.

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/rehoming- Moncks Corner, SC

Meet Ripley! He is a handsome 7 year old Australian Shepherd that weighs 39 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm preventatives. He would thrive as the only pet in the home and no small kids please! He is dog reactive and will snap at other dogs while at a dog park.

He loves to snuggle and play with glow in the dark balls! He has a sensitive gut that requires a specific diet and sometimes has anxiety related gastritis. He is being surrendered because he bit the owner’s 11 month old baby on the head when he crawled near Ripley while he was sleeping. He needs to go by this Sunday, 3/12!

If you think you can provide a great home for Ripley, please contact the owner listed below.

Bumper knows how to beat the heat! 🌊

AVAILABLE: Bumper

Everyone meet Bumper! Bumper is a 4-month- old BLIND Aussie boy with all the s***k and energy of typical Aussie puppy. No need to feel sorry for him though, he’s under the impression no one can see and is just as able as any other puppy and happy as a clam.

Bumper gets around just fine and loves his zoomies (within his safe zones), sneaking up on his foster sister and even chasing tennis balls. He’s always so proud of himself and parades the ball around after he hears the bounce of the ball and finds it. After a good play session with his foster sister you can often times find him zonked out in front of any air vent in the home, he loves to feel the cool breeze of the AC through his toe beans.

His foster home has been working with Bumper on his basic commands, walking on a leash, and not nipping ankles (one of his favorite activities). Bumper loves meeting new people and dogs and settles well when in public. However, his energy level is on the medium to high side and he does require mental and physical exercise before laying calmly in the house - you just have to be a bit more creative to wear him out!

Bumper would do best in a home with a fence (so he can continue to safely enjoy his zoomies!), a playful and confident canine sibling, herding breed experience, and no young children.

Bumper is crate trained and is learning when and how to ask to go outside for potty breaks. He is UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on preventatives. Bumper is currently fostered in Charlotte, NC. His adoption fee is $350 and an additional $200 neuter and training deposit that will be refunded upon proof of neuter and enrollment in a training class by one year old.

If you are interested in Bumper and ready to give an energetic, differently abled puppy all the love, attention, and training he deserves please visit our website for adoption procedures and application. If you are a previously approved applicant and are interested in Bumper please contact the adoption committee.

Bentley is a 5 year old blue Merle Australian Shepherd. He loves playing fetch, herding his jolly ball and playing with ropes. Benny is such a lover and is the sweetest boy. He loves attention, cuddles and lots of walks. He's always down for a car ride and an adventure and will follow you around the house keeping you company.

Benny enjoys being outside watching the birds and chasing bugs and the water hose. He is mostly content just being with you and would follow you to the ends of the earth. Ben does NOT get along with other dogs/animals. He was attacked by a possum as a baby and unfortunately has not been a fan of other animals since. He does not like yelling or loud noises and will hide when it happens. Small children make him nervous.

Bentley needs a home with lots of love, attention, space, no other pets or small children and low traffic in the home as he has stranger danger.

Everyone that meets Ben adores him! If you think that Bentley is a good fit for your home, please email me at: [email protected] There is a $150 re-homing fee to assure good folks with good intentions.

Biscuit has been in foster care for 8 months
In Richardson, Texas
This little beauty is Biscuit! Biscuit is a one year old male red merle. He is a young boy that needs a dedicated human who can provide some basic work in socialization. Biscuit walks well on leash and is housebroken. He will go into the crate with some convincing and encouragement. He is a barker.

Biscuit needs a very strong and confident leader. He spent some time with a trainer and he has displayed some consistent behaviors that indicate that while he is not aggressive in any way, he has a hyper-response to corrections from other dogs and needs to be the only dog.

Like many herding breeds, Biscuit has displayed a very strong work drive & would more than likely thrive in a home where he was provided with daily high energy activities (running, biking, hiking, etc) as well as a sports (agility, tres ball, barn hunt, etc). He is a very sweet boy but has a lot of energy that does best when it is harnessed into productive activities.' He does love playing with any and all squeaky toys. His prior owner lived in an apartment and he did NOT do well in that environment.

Biscuit is neutered, current on immunizations and on preventatives. If you think that he is a good fit, please fill out the application. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Currently available for adoption in Charlotte, NC

Dallas is a lovable, happy, 2 year old neutered male Australian Shepherd mix who is ready for his furever home. He weighs 70lbs, has beautiful blue merle coloring, and has medium length fur. Dallas is extremely affectionate and cuddly, loves to snuggle with his foster on the couch, loves to ride in the car and travels well. He sits nicely for treats, and loves to play with balls, toys, and bones. Dallas prefers to be near his people and looks to them for direction. Dallas is very loyal and wants to be your best friend.

Dallas walks well on a leash most of the time, but sometimes pulls when over excited. He will need a strong handler since he is a big, strong, young male. His adopter will need to continue his leash training so he can continue to learn to ignore distractions. Dallas will be fine to roam inside house unattended and enjoys sleeping in his dog bed or on the bed with his humans. He does not like to be confined to small areas or locked into separate rooms. He has had some crate training, but is not happy being crated. If a crate is needed, he will need continued crate training. Dallas is housebroken and does best when keeping a consistent potty schedule.

Dallas is good with some dogs with slow and proper introductions, but he is dog selective. If other dogs are in the home, adoption applicants will need to bring them to meet Dallas to make sure the dogs are compatible. Dallas would not be a good candidate for a dog park or in a home where many different new dogs come to visit. We do not know how Dallas is around children and are unable to test him. He has been good with some cats but has growled at others. He is obviously cat selective as well.

The ideal adopter for Dallas is one that is fun, loving, patient and can spend time playing fetch and going for walks. He will need a secure fenced yard to run and play in. Dallas is not a good candidate to be your first dog or for apartment living. His adopters should have some experience with Australian Shepherds or other herding breeds and be willing to continue working with him while he continues to learn and mature. A basic obedience course and/or a training routine can be helpful as well. He is still young and will blossom with more training and a stable environment.

Dallas is being fostered in Charlotte, NC.

If you think that Dallas is a great match for you, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application

This beautiful boy is Bandit and he has been waiting quite a while to find his furever family. He is being fostered near Chattanooga, TN
Bandit is a 1 yr old black tri Australian Shepherd. Bandit is a happy, friendly boy. He loves attention and enjoys spending time with his people. He would do best in an active home. A fenced in yard would be a plus so that he can enjoy outdoor time. He will make a great hiking, walking, adventure partner! He gets along great with other dogs. He is a versatile boy, but really prefers not to be alone. A home with another furry companion for him to hang out with would be great, however, he would do fine with an individual or family who has quality time to spend with him as well. He is good with children. He has done well with learning the boundaries with the cats.

Bandit weighs approximately 45lbs. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm prevention and microchipped. He is housebroken and crate trained.

Bandit will make a great companion and can't wait to find his forever family. Bandit is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN.

If you think that Bandit is a good fit for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

COURTESY POST FOR WEST VIRGINIA SHELTER. SHELTER IS FULL. WILL BE EUTHANIZED IN 2 WEEKS IF NOT ADOPTED

Meet River and Sully—two spayed, female, 3 year-old Australian Shepherd mix, bonded sisters who lost their human mom and dad in a period of 53 days. They are both sweet, smart, good-natured, well-behaved 50 # balls of energy. We are looking for someone with time and energy to train them, shower them with lots of love and attention, exercise them, be kind to them and patient. That is who we seek and they deserve. If you love this breed as we do, consider them please.
Ideally they need a fenced in yard, no children under five, no cats, or other dogs. Sully, the red tri with beautiful, blue eyes Australian Shepherd mix has been accepting of other dogs, but River the black tri with brown eyes, not so much. Both have been vetted, on heartworm, flea and tick therapy, groomed and pampered at our local puppy spa, and have thrived on a diet of rice, chicken and Blue canned and dry food.

They have always lived inside where they should be with a loving, interacting family. Do you have a loving home to offer these two beauties, the time and attention to devote to them?

River and Sully are super smart, kind, loving, and would give you lots of unconditional love!! If you are the one, please reach out to me. Thank you for your consideration.

Available for adoption in CT
Hello, my name is Poppy. I live with my foster mom in Milford, CT, but we will be driving to Florida in August.

I am a mini Australian Shepherd, 30lbs, 2yrs, UTD on medical, blue Merle, and I know that I'm pretty, especially when
I run around wagging my tail.

I have spent most of my life indoors, I love hanging out around the house. I respect physical boundaries and if you are busy, I will leave you alone and hang out at one of my favorite spots. I actually enjoy doggie beds but the couch is just amazing! Especially when my human gets off the couch 😃.

Anyways, I am very low maintenance around the house. I am crate trained and I sleep fine in it at night. I don't beg when you eat, I understand the house rules very well and I'm very proud of my manners. I know the basic commands: sit, stay, wait, come, up, down, and no. I just learned a little of agility and I LOVE IT! I know jump, tunnel, up, down, and tire. Foster mom says I have so much potential and I could eventually compete with dedicated practice. I also love love love DOCK DIVING! I have been competing at NADD and UAD and I average around 20 ft! My foster mom is very very proud of me.

Regarding the outdoors, I get really excited when my foster mom takes me on walks. I love playing in the back yard and fetching toys. My favorite toy is anything that squeaks. I love picking up toys and running around the yard with it, it brings me joy to run around like a free little kid. This why a fenced yard is a must.

I like my home and my yard, but I don't like strangers. I am very sensitive to new people, kids running around, bicyclists, anything moving quickly. I can watch them through a window, but I will chase them and even bite them if I see them in sight. I know biting is bad, and I am learning, I promise. But sometimes I act before I think. Foster mom says I need anger management. We are working with a behaviorist, but it's going very very slow. Foster mom is willing to work with my future home to make sure my training continues and I become a good girl outside the house too.

My ideal house doesn't include kids, dogs, or busy streets. I can play one-on-one with some dogs, preferably male, if introduced properly, but I CANT live with them. I have food and toy aggression, and I have tendencies to snap (once again, I act before I think). I don't care and prefer not to go to dog parks either, but I'll go hiking with you. I am trained to use a basket muzzle. I need a house that is laid back but willing to take me to sport competition. I have manners at competitions, but extra caution is always good.
In summary..
Good: very intelligent, loves sports; high potential in agility and dock diving. Could be good at FAST CAT; she has done informal lure courses. Could be good at herding, after behaviorist work. Great at home. Cuddles. Sweet girl. Loves her humans. Shy.

Bad/needs work:
Strangers, biting history. No kids. No non-fenced yards. No dogs. Aggression. She is making progress getting introduced to crowd and stores, but it will take her at least 6 months to fully understand the outside world and get over her fears. A little bit of separation anxiety.

Foster mom is happy to discuss in length. She is a super special girl and worth the effort!

If you are interested in Poppy, please fill out the application:

UPDATE: https://fb.watch/72-3CyHPM5/

We’re desperate to find these boys a safe place to land!

Imagine losing your parents when they were the only people you had ever known, then ending up locked up for 22 hours a day. That has been the life for Smokey & Beau, they’ve been here for 4 months. While that may not seem like a long time, for Smokey it’s been an eternity and we see him starting to breakdown. He is showing behavior that tells us he needs out immediately.

We attempted to separate them when they first came in and Smokey was extremely petrified and could not cope without Beau. While we do not want to do this to these boys, we may have to consider it if we cannot find them an adopter or rescue together. Smokey is not doing well, he needs out of the shelter and at this point that may mean he loses the last bit of family he has left.

Smokey is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd, he does great with other dogs, would do best with teenager and older, and needs a home that’s patient and will give him time to warm up and space to run. He is afraid of strangers, but does well with people he knows. Beau is a 9 year old Heeler mix that is extremely well trained, loves everyone he meets, does great with other dogs, but does not like cats. He did get injured before coming to us and has a slight limp when he walks that’s due to incorrect healing. He may need some pain meds if he’s having a really hard day, but the more he uses it the better it will get!

Beau & Smokey have a combined $25 adoption fee, we would also be happy to work with another 501(c)3 rescue that may be interested in taking these boys. This is our last ditch effort to keep them together, if we can’t find someone willing to take on this deserving duo we will have to separate them so Smokey can get out of the shelter.

Meet Dallas!
He is about 2 years old, UTD , healthy happy boy! Currently located in Charlotte, NC and looking for his forever home.

Dallas was found as a stray but he's a lovable guy that is very eager to please. He is extremely affectionate and wants to be near his human and give hugs. He loves car rides and cuddling on the couch!

He is about 66 pounds, good on leash and enjoys toys and bones. He will sit for treats. He currently lives with cats and enjoys their company. Initially he had some distaste for unneutered males but is good with dogs as long as there are proper intros.
In his Foster home he has escaped from his crate a few times. He’s not a guy that likes to be restrained. I do think he can learn to enjoy a crate in time and he did so recently when his foster mom went on vacation and had no issues there.

When we first got him he was just neutered and would mark everything. He would be “that guy” in the pet store but has made significant improvement and now that he is on a schedule is doing potty outdoors like a good boy.

If you think that Dallas sounds like a good fit for your family, please fill out our application:

Bodee is a stunning 20 month old 60 lb Cuddle Bug. He would do best in a home with a person who has a strong personality and is a confident leader.

His original owners divorced and he was left with the wife, but was the husband's dog. So he would challenge her about going into his crate...Bark & growl but Treats work really well for him.
He does not like having his collar grabbed to be lead. So older children would be recommended.

Bodee is fixated on my little dogs. He just annoys/herds them. He'd do best in a home with another medium to large sized dog.
