🦠Leptospirosis is an infection of Lepto bacteria. Found in the urine of infected mice, rats, racoons, skunks and possums, this bacteria gets excreted into the environment.

Dogs are most often infected by drinking from a contaminated water source. The bacteria then targets the liver and kidneys, leading to serious illness and sometimes death.

You can prevent infection with an annual lepto vaccine and booster, good for dogs over 12 weeks old.

Our hearts are heavy for those who experienced devastation from Hurricane Helene and Milton.

We want to thank the first responders and rescue teams who have been urgently transporting animals to safety, helping displaced animals, all while assessing other needs.

We are encouraging our pet parents to consider learning about and/or donating to non-profits such as ASPCA, The Humane Society, and other organizations who are actively working on the grounds to help pets and pet parents in need. Please share for awareness.

Had to share our sweet little rescue that was found by one of our Vet.Tech.Assistants. We didn't decide on her a name yet, but we do know she will be our office kitty. Watching her grow is a thrill for all of us. Any ideas for names are welcomed.
