Upright and proud! Mounted on McKenzie’s newer 8100 upright series. This form, much like the 6300 semi-sneak series was sculpted for the southeast whitetail. The 6300 and 8100 fit our NC deer perfectly. This is also another example that a pretty skin makes for a pretty mount. Thanks for looking! -Adam

Check out this cool buck that was just picked up! He had a gnarly drop tine and was a little boys very first deer. His father selected the Matt Thompson 9500 wall pedestal. It’s an extreme sneak. We did our best to accent that drop with the pose and the ear placement. On to the next one!

Got a wicked whitetail put together tonight and a massive 8 pointer last night. Tonight’s deer had some tick damage in the brisket. I’ve definitely worked with better skins. With a little extra effort I got him together. Happy Holidays everyone.

It has been another awesome year here in the shop. God has truly blessed me with all the work I want and the absolute best customers out there. As you know, I only take a limited number of Whitetail deer each season. This enables me to avoid rushing through each deer and also helps me maintain my 19 year track record. In 19 years I’ve never taken longer than 10 months on any deer. Effective today, all spots are filled for deer and I will not be accepting any more work until September of 2024. Note: if you currently have an appointment with me to drop off a deer your spot is reserved. Thank you everyone again for such a great year and Merry Christmas!

Here is the Finished Tahr I mounted back in September, in Bismark North Dakota, while taking Bill Neuman's advanced life-size mammal class. I recently finished up the Tahr and the base here in North Carolina. It is a custom wall-hanging rock made to fit this form perfectly. This Tahr has a ton of form alterations because the skin was much larger than the form and the form looked more like a Mountain Goat than it did a Tahr. I have well over 100 hours in this piece. I'm pretty proud of him. The Himalayan Tahr is such a beautiful animal and I did my best to honor this majestic species.

Happy Pappy! My dad and I hit it again this morning after the good luck I had yesterday and he got this stud of a 7 point! We’ve had a lot of pictures of this guy on camera over the last couple months. Finally caught up to him. Congratulations dad!

Another nice buck came in between various projects going on in the shop. Building a rock for a lifesize Tahr. Soft tan fallow skins, and “velvet on” European mount .
