I’m home from hunting, and I’m currently taking in deer. I’ve had several brought by already since I’ve gotten back. I’m only taking a limited number again this year. Feel free to give me a shout if you have a deer you’ve been wanting to bring by. Good luck in the field everyone! -Adam

A Giant Ohio 8 pointer, and a beautiful Rowan County 12 pointer came rolling into my Taxidermy shop today. I was happy to see a new first time client, and a return client today as well. Happy hunting everyone. The rut is finally here!

Just finished up another giant Red Stag with detachable antlers this week. This one was mounted on McKenzie Supply’s brand new wall pedestal red deer form sculpted by Dennis Behn. Im getting back on whitetail deer this week! Thanks for looking.

My oldest brother John shot this nice Axis deer down in Texas back in 2023. I mounted him on Don Holts new Axis form he was working on just after he passed away. I would’ve loved for Don to have seen this mount on his new form. I’m very honored this particular mount was chosen for the front cover of the Van Dyke’s Catalog.

Today is the season opener here in NC for our 2024 deer season! Good luck to all the bow hunters out there. Remember Adam Barton’s Taxidermy if you strike pay dirt on a big deer! Velvet deer make for a beautiful mount. Remember proper field care is paramount for a high quality mount. Don’t drag them out by the antlers. Avoid handling the velvet much with your hands. A sled works great. Bring him ASAP and let me get the head caped out and everything in the freezer. I’m taking a limited number of pieces again this year. Good luck in the field! 🏹 🦌

Upright and proud! Mounted on McKenzie’s newer 8100 upright series. This form, much like the 6300 semi-sneak series was sculpted for the southeast whitetail. The 6300 and 8100 fit our NC deer perfectly. This is also another example that a pretty skin makes for a pretty mount. Thanks for looking! -Adam
