Homeless again.....

Schmidt can't catch a break. He came to us in 2020 and was adopted fairly quickly. In May of 2022, he was found and taken to a shelter 60 miles away and was extremely emaciated. The adopter would not return our calls so we have no idea of what happened. He came ba k to us and was adopted again last October. His new adopter contacted us out of the blue yesterday and stated he peed in the floor in a hotel room the night before and she wanted to return him immediately. We explained to her how the return process worked and that we didn't have space. They refused to keep him.

Schmidt is now 4 years old and not quite 40 lbs. and is a very good boy. He desperately needs a foster or forever home as he has no where to go. He is good with other dogs and frequently attends daycare. If you can help him, fill out a foster or adoption application at rescueonespringfield.com. We can't have this boy be let down again!

High Point, NC-Luna is looking for a new home after an unfortunate event in the home.
From the owner-
"Luna is a 5 year old female German shepherd, she's best for a single dog house. Shes a gorgeous 80 pound German shepherd she's extremely loving and loyal. She is fixed and up-to-date on shots that I know of. She knows basic commands and is crate/potty trained well. I'm having to rehome her because she bit my younger sister in the middle of the night due to guarding her bone as she is territorial over bones/toys. She's not good with kids or cats or smaller animals tbd with larger dogs."

Our mission is to rescue animals from high kill shelters nationwide, rehabilitate them, spay or neuter them prior to adoption and take care of any medical needs that they may have.

This page is also dedicated to sharing not just our animals for adoption, but at risk and urgent “death row” animals that are in shelters all over the country as well.

Our adoption process includes an application, reference checks both personal and veterinary and a home visit. We suggest that if you are searching for an animal, that you fill out our application as soon as possible so we can get the process started. We will keep your application on file so that when an animal that meets your request is found, we can move quickly to get that animal to you.
