We want to remind everyone who has adopted or is considering adopting a rescued pet that it takes time for the pet and the owner to feel comfortable. The 3/3/3 rule suggests that it typically takes three days for a pet to begin feeling at ease, three weeks for the pet to start understanding its new environment, and three months for the pet to adjust fully. This graphic from Maddie's Fund highlights some important points to remember.

"She may be small, but this energetic little gremlin lives for speed. Sis loves fetch; if she had her way, she would play fetch for hours. Meet Tato!

Tato is a cheerful, energetic, and very cuddly boy! He is potty trained and won't try to jump your fences. He walks well on a leash but could use work on his off-leash recall! We love his red color and his loving eyes. Tato is fearful of fireworks and allergic to dairy, but that doesn't stop him from being a stellar doggo. Tato was surrendered to us through no fault of his own, as his family was moving to another area for medical help and could not find pet-friendly housing. Tato is an AKC-registered lab who would love to find his forever family!

Sis hopes you're enjoying a frozen snack and staying cool! Adopt this lovely lady and you'll have a friend for life! She has great temperament with most dogs and does the cutest little hops when she's happy!

Spooky is the most caring foster dad to the kittens in the Kitten Cabin, but he also wants to advocate for the senior cats and those with disabilities! Cats like him take life slow and are fond of being petted. They know how to use the litter box and their scratching posts. Spooky still loves to climb in the cat trees and enjoy the views but does not have that enthusiastic kitten energy, and he is not here to yuck your yum (you know if kittens are your thing), but he just wanted to give you another viewpoint on cats like him. Or maybe you want the best of both worlds: the crazy kitten energy and a calm senior boy. Can it be any cuter to have him stand and make biscuits on himself?! #seniorcat #adoptme

Our Bachelor Sparky wanted to stop in and show off his smooth moves! Can't adopt at the time? No worries, Sparky would still love it if you stopped to say Hi! But for real, how does this boy not have a rose? We know his ceremony will be extra special whenever it happens!
