Wasatch Hunting Retriever Club The WHRC is a nonprofit AKC club composed of volunteers interested in training and testing retrievers for waterfowl hunting.

If you are interested in hunting with a well trained retriever, we can help. Our non-profit club is made up of both professional and amateur trainers who hunt their dogs and enjoy training and competing their dogs in American Kennel Club (AKC) hunt tests. We sponsor dog training seminars, conduct both informal and AKC licensed Hunt Tests and provide opportunities to keep you and your hunting dog a

ctive throughout the year. If you would like to join our club, simply show up at one of our events, fill out the application, and pay the annual dues. Our field events are held at the Lee Kay Dog Training Grounds Center at about 2100 South 6000 West, Salt Lake City.

Reminder!

There are only a few days left to get your entries in for our Memorial Weekend Double Header hunt test. Entries close at 11 PM on Monday night. You can enter the event at www.entryexpress.net

For those concerned about the new Utah law concerning access to properties like Lee Kay, our special use permit covers all participants and spectators during the dates of the event. If you plan to be on the grounds days before or after the event, you will be required to have a valid Utah hunting or fishing license, which may be obtained at www.wildlifelicense.utah.gov. Additional questions may be directed to [email protected].

Don't forget our picnic/training day this Saturday at Lee Kay! Sign ups start at 8:00. Run your dog at any level. Memberships $20, if you haven't already paid. Flyers $30. Run with dead birds only $10. Then go home and enter our April trial.

Our last hunt test picnic before trials begin is Saturday the 22nd at Lee Kay. We will start sign ups at 8:00. Flyers are first come, so don't delay. Big dogs, little dogs, we have something for all!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our picnic test today! It was a beautiful, fun day with lots of good dog work. Thank you to club Vice President KC Owens for the video and Lacie Harley for all her hard work on our amazing lunch. Tomorrow is the day to come out to LeeKay and run for one of our new picnic ribbons. Lacie will be serving up another wonderful lunch. And the weather looks great for fliers to fly. And puppies to catch pigeons. Signups start at 8am. See you there.

Hello members and friends!!!! Time flies when you’re having fun, and what’s more fun than working with your hunting buddy?

Our second picnic test is coming up on March 1st. Same song and dance… Sign ups begin at 8 AM. Flyers are on a first come, first served basis. If we run out, we’ll continue running dogs with dead birds. All levels welcome . Our test setup can be scaled for Junior, Senior, or Master level tests. Are you brand new? Club officers, board members, and many experienced handlers will be available to answer your questions and help you out.

2025 Membership = $25
Flyer (Members) = $30
Flyer (Non-members) = $35
Puppy Pigeons = $10
Dead Birds = $10
