Today's theme during is "Emergencies happen: Be prepared" - a topic that has taken on significant importance over the last few years. We never know when or where an emergency will happen. Monitoring our pets weight is vital to their health. Obesity can shorter their life spans and make them more susceptible to disease. In one study of Labrador Retrievers, being even moderately overweight showed to reduce their lifespan up to 2 years compared to their leaner counter parts.
