PSA about a "new" chinchilla color. Sterling chinchillas are standard gray. Having a breeder standard is extremely important. It's how all other animals are judged and changing it from standard gray to sterling will not change the fact that they should be the STANDARD to which all others are judged. They should be the BEST animal in the herd and mutations should be bred back to an amazing standard gray to keep the qualities we as breeders want to see in our lines. Just got done sterilizing this cage. It came with a surrender who didn't need it with their new home. It is available to be picked up with a chinchilla for an extra 50 (new is 100). There are a couple stains that would not come out with cleaning. It will need either new shelves that aren't plastic or fleece to cover the existing ones.

The wheel came in with a different cage (it doesn't fit in the doors of this one) it is also available for 10 and can ship for an additional 10.

Can't believe this little angora is still here. He is so sweet and ready to find his forever home. His ear tufts are starting to really come in with his adult coat and there is plenty of growth still to come. Now is the perfect time to get this little male. He can go as a single chinchilla or as a pair.

We still have a number of males and females available. There are no plans currently for travel but there are regular stops to Chesapeake, VA and Elizabeth City, NC. Transport services are available but are done at the cost of the customer and need to be arranged with both transporter and ourselves before hand. Bonded pairs will receive 5️⃣0️⃣ off the pair.

The moment I have been waiting for since he was born! This is our FIRST angora here at Outer Banks Chinchillas. He is still with his mom and won't be ready to find a home for another month but he will be available and payment plans are an option.

This pretty girl has finished with her health monitoring and is ready to find her new home. She comes with her cage, toys, food, and dust.

She isn't the only surrender available. There is also one standard grey male and a handful of animals that were bred here. Ebony, Grey's, whites, and black velvet all ready to go. We have a new surrender coming in this weekend. She's a black velvet and very sweet natured according to her current owner. She's being surrendered at no fault of her own. Her mom rescued her about a year ago from a poor situation and thinks she's about 4 years old. Comes with cage and will be available after a short health watch. Only one chinchilla left who has ribbons. She received 3rd place in January at the ECBC Great Lakes show and did even better at MCBA National show this past weekend. Both 3rd and 2nd place ribbons will be sent home with her and her sweet personality. Message us for pricing on any of our animals.

Had such a wonderful time at MCBA nationals this year. Congratulations to everyone who showed and especially to everyone who received a trophy.🏆 While OBX Chinchillas may still be on the hunt for a trophy, we brought home more ribbons!🎖🎖 It was tough competition, but we are so proud of our animals and continue to improve the herd with each show.
