We have removed a number of ticks from our patients recently! Fortunately, we do not see much lyme disease; however, we do have pets test positive for other tick-borne diseases. There is currently an outbreak of Canine Influenza in the Southeastern U.S. While this may seem far away from the Pacific Northwest, due to the prevalance of travel, there is potential for us to see the effects here, just as we did with the outbreak in Chicago a number of years ago. Some of you may remember Simon from last weeks acupuncture video, here he is again getting his cold laser treatment in conjunction with his initial acupuncture treatment to help promote additional pain relief. As you can see laser therapy is non invasive and can help with chronic and acute injuries and even quicken the healing process on a incision site or wound.
