Free dog adoptions! Our shelter is at maximum capacity, and we need the community’s help. From Saturday, August 16 - Sunday, August 24, we’re waiving ALL dog adoption fees, including dogs in foster care.

Come meet with our adoption counselors, who will help you find the perfect match for your home and lifestyle.

Even if you can’t adopt, sharing this post could help a dog find their forever family. Every adoption helps to makes room for another dog in need.

In recent weeks, we've spoken with a number of folk who are under the impression that we're closing up shop and selling the building. We're not - this sign refers to the property up the hill and behind our property.

Our plan is to continue to help your animals for the foreseeable future.

Kitten Season is upon us!

Please remember - if you find kittens alone in the wild, and in no *immediate* danger, leave them be for a few hours; momma cats do momma cat things that sometimes involve stowing the babies in a safe spot and leaving for a bit.

If she's not back by nightfall, then you're probably safe to gather up babies and start thinking about their future. If this happens to you, and you don't know anything about kittens, please by all means bundle them up and bring them to us; we're always happy to teach kitten classes.

PGE is turning power off to clinic all day March 18. Clinic is closed that day and phones will not work during power outage. Call Monday or Wednesday to schedule 209-754-5123

Hiya, everyone.

From January 21st, to January 24th, Gold Strike Road will be closed to through traffic coming from the Mokelumne Hill side so that the little bridge over the creek can be fixed up.

However, you all can still get to us from the San Andreas side; the only closure is the little bridge. We'll be open and helping animals during the closure, just please be aware that you'll have to make a detour on those days to get to us.
