The Wells Family began in Utah, in 1997 when Sidney and I (Desiree), got married. Even back then we have always had a passion for sharing our talents and interests with others and supporting little to no cost events for families. Through this passion, I (Desiree) have devoted my time to the community beginning in my teen years when I served as a Junior 4-H Leader; then as an Adult Leader in my own 4-H Club; and as a United States Pony Club Instructor. I enjoy sharing from my own experience just as much as I love seeing others learn and grow on their own equestrian journey. A unique part of my (Desiree) journey led me to become a Certified Professional Coach where I now combine my equestrian background with the world of mental fitness. Through this incredible combination I help clients see how horses can be so much more than our riding partners. Through their intuitive non-judgmental nature, they can also be our teachers about life as they help us learn more about who we are, how we show up, and help us work towards personal goals. Being creative and innovative by heart, Sidney has many talents, some of which include building from wood and metal, theatrical staging and lighting, automation designs, and organizing and managing community projects. Sidney enjoys the process of planning and putting on events for families to experience at our farm, and he does a phenomenal job creating and displaying new attractions. As a retired US Air Force First Sergeant, Sidney has a knack for working with people and making them feel like they matter. This, combined with our own personal housing journey, has led to him becoming a Licensed Real Estate Agent/Realtor where Sidney’s passion for helping people creates an honest and positive experience in both buying and selling their homes. Where our life together began in Utah, we are now located in San Angelo, Texas where we extend our love and warm welcome to our neighbors and community. Because at the Wells Family Farm, our community is our family.

We hope everyone who attended our "Cocoa and Cookies with the Ponies " event last night enjoyed the Tractor Hay Ride, as wells as our light display that took you for a walk through a Frozen Tunnel, a Reindeer Maze, and the Silent Woods. We heard that a few people got lost in the maze and hope you found your way out without too much trouble.

If you enjoyed this event, be sure to come see us in October for our Annual Fall Festival, which takes place the Saturday before Halloween. And be sure to keep checking in on our page for other upcoming events and activities with the horses.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🎄☃️❄️

It's been a good day to take a trip to our favorite vet facility (Brazos Valley Equine) and get the horses hooves done. We absolutely love our farrier, Justin Toledo, who has taken care of our herd since we moved to Texas in 2015. It's an all day trip to drive from San Angelo to Salado, but quality work and top notch care is worth it.

We had some sweet volunteers come over the weekend to help with the remainder of our Fall Festival clean up. To say "thank you" we let them take a little ride on our darling ponies, Texas and Dash. It's always a good day when farm work gets done and our chunky ponies get some exercise. 🙂

This Veteran's week has been a week of reflection for our family as we have great gratitude for the men and women who serve our country. Within our own family we celebrate both Sidney and our daughter, Tapainga, who have given so much and still do - to protect the freedoms of our country. Thank you to all our service men and women. We support you!

We were asked at our Fall Festival if we do anything for Christmas. Our answer is that we have began planning for a Christmas event, but we do not have the storage room for decorations, to put on the kind of spectacular that we do for our Fall Festival. That being said, we have collaborated and decided to go ahead and launch our first farm Christmas event on a smaller scale. More details will follow after Thanksgiving. However, for those who like to plan their holiday celebrations ahead of time, we thought we'd at least let you know the date of our event.

Our Fall Festival turned out wonderful this year with many new additions to our spook alley, updates to our carnival games, and new treats to try along with the usual goodies. We'd like to thank our wonderful volunteers- Maxx Thomas, Paul Ivory, and Lynn Ivory - and all who attended and we hope to see you again next year!

MISSING: As we did our clean up from this past weekend's festival, we were missing a couple of our CornToss game pieces. If you happen to find your little one tucked a piece away and it made it to your home, we'd greatly appreciate it making its way back to us.

* All of our game pieces are handmade and they take a lot of time and effort to create. Because our event is a free family sponsored event, we don't always get enough volunteers to oversee our carnival games to assure pieces don't wander off. Thank you for checking your home for the corn pieces.
