Dallas, a beautiful GSD, has joined the LNL training family, focusing on private in-home sessions to address leash reactivity and pulling during walks. Off to an impressive start, Dallas displayed promising results during the first session yesterday evening. 🐾🎓
As Cardi D departs for Fur Love Haven in Oregon, I am reminded of the incredible impact she had on my life. Her journey is a testament to the power of love and compassion. I am grateful for the time we shared, and I will miss her dearly, but I am thrilled to see her get to thrive in her new home. Fostering may be emotionally challenging, but it is also an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. I have no doubt that Cardi D will bring joy and love to her new family, and I wish her all the best on her new journey. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen for her ❤️ 🐾

We tried desperately to help Fini find her forever home but unfortunately nobody has looked her way and she'll have to return to the dorms at Concho Valley PAWS today . 😔
I was really hoping to avoid this because it would be easier for her to maintain her training and social skills in a home. Plus she's more than deserving of a loving family.

Introducing the newest doggo to enter our board and train program! He's an incredible rescue who was saved from the heartbreaking fate of euthanasia by a very caring woman. Both deaf and blind, he needed a new chance at life and has found it. We're dedicated to helping him thrive through basic obedience, leash manners, and social skills training. Using touch and electronic collar techniques, we believe he can learn and grow. After his training, he will be available for adoption through Critter Shack Rescue.
We were told his name was River, but we've been calling him Stevie because he's very superstitious 😎

Yesterday evening's dog walking group was a real treat! We met at Rio Concho Park and had a doggone good time strolling along the river.
I visited Teresa, Oscar's dog mom, in the hospital this afternoon with Oscar. Teresa has medical conditions that cause extremely high blood pressure. Oscar played a crucial role in saving her life this week by alerting her when her blood pressure reached dangerous levels using his keen sense of smell to detect chemical shifts in her body. When this happens, he will tug or nudge her to sit down. Teresa passed out this time, and Oscar sat on her and licked her face until she regained consciousness and was able to call for help. It is truly amazing what these animals are capable of. ❤️🩹🐾
Welcome Oscar, a pleasantly unexpected little house guest. Following a medical emergency requiring surgery and hospitalization of his dog mom for at least a week, we were asked to provide emergency placement for this charming service dog. Given the lack of emergency boarding funds, we were happy to oblige. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and caring environment for Oscar while his dog mom focuses on her recovery

I have a special request that I hope you can help with. Meet Fini, the sweetest and happiest girl! 🐶❤️
Fini had a rough start in life, but she's overcome every obstacle with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. 🍋💕 After a random altercation with the resident dog of her previous foster, I had the privilege of bringing Fini into my home for a behavioral assessment which turned into us fostering her. She's been with us for several months now, and she's been an absolute joy to have around.
However, as the summer season approaches, our board and train commitments are increasing, and it's becoming challenging to give each dog the time and space they deserve. In order to make room for other dogs who need our help, this difficult decision has led us to return Fini back to Concho Valley PAWS , where she'll stay in their dorms. 💔
But here's where you come in! 🙏 We're hoping to find Fini a forever home before Friday, when I'm scheduled to drop her off. She has made incredible progress during her time with us, and we would hate to see her regress without a loving home.

Let's see 'em! 👀📸
We had just returned to town at 11pm when I received a desperate message. An 8-month-old Husky/mix puppy was discovered with injuries initially believed to be from a gunshot wounds, but later determined to be the result of a dog attack. The owners were out of town, and the pup had escaped from the yard. Thankfully, a caring neighbor spotted him in an alleyway, and with prompt medical attention, he is expected to recover. Arden Road Animal Clinic is keeping the pup overnight for stabilization, administering antibiotics and intravenous fluids as he was severely dehydrated and running a high fever. The owner has stated that they are not able to cover his medical expenses. The neighbor, her friend, and ourselves all covered the medical expenses for this evening. However, he may need further treatment. If you'd like to contribute to his care, you can call Arden directly. Please keep Deebo in your prayers 🙏🏼❤️🩹🐾
Friends and family, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
There are literal packs of dogs roaming the streets and our city shelter is so over crowded that they have been putting out a revolving euthanasia list for space. We've started a fundraiser called Beats for Barks in which Felicia DJ's at local venues to raise awareness and funds for local rescues. If you don't live in the area or don't enjoy going out to venues, you can still help and support this cause! We also have an online t shirt store. By making a purchase, you will be supporting our local rescues as they strive to combat the ongoing stray crisis. ALL funds will be directed towards local rescues that prioritize spay/neuter through educational initiatives, voucher programs, and community outreach.
We're not making any profit off of this. DJ FE (Felicia) is working for donations for our rescues. There will also be drop off bins for donations of food and other items at each event.
This is for any and every facility in the local rescue community and we highly encourage ALL rescues to support these events. If you don't wish to participate that is completely ok. But the more participation and promotion we have, the more animals we can help. If you're a rescue, please feel free to contact us for more information on how to help promote and/or receive donations from these events.

Welcome Charlie to the LNL training family. Charlie is one of the eighty Chihuahuas that was recently rescued from a hoarding case and adopted out by Concho Valley PAWS . It's been about a month now, and though Charlie's settled nicely into his new home, he wouldn't get close to his adopter's elderly mother, who just wanted to shower him with love. In reality, every dog, regardless of their level of training, will inevitably make mistakes. Just like us, they are not flawless creatures. Therefore, the question arises: how should we respond? I don't mean to make excuses for myself, but I must admit that I have been quite scatterbrained lately due to various commitments. Although I strive to allocate time for all the dogs in the household, it has been challenging to keep up with their needs. Recently, Cerberus, a highly energetic working breed, pulled the cover of his crate inside and tore it to pieces. Surprisingly, that crate cover had been untouched for months. So, what led to this incident? The answer lies in the fact that Cerberus requires a significant amount of mental and physical stimulation, which I failed to provide. I take full responsibility for this oversight. Consequently, today I made a conscious effort to rectify the situation by engaging Cerberus in activities that will challenge both his mind and body. Being a responsible pet owner does not require perfection, but rather requires patience and understanding. It involves recognizing and fulfilling the individual needs of our pets.
Austin and Britta have been training their two 4-month-old Rottweiler puppies, Parks and Knoxs with us, and the results are truly pawsome. In just four sessions, the puppies have mastered various basic obedience commands, including 'Spin' and 'Place', proving that with dedication, anything is possible. For puppies under 6 months, the primary focus should be on providing opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. Offer plenty of positive interactions with various stimuli, while also challenging them to build confidence. Enrich their senses and make learning a fun experience.
