🐾 Happy National Mutt Day! 🐾
Today we celebrate the beautiful, quirky, one-of-a-kind faces of mixed-breed dogs. While “designer dogs” get most of the buzz, mutts bring their own special s***k, Yet they’re often the ones most overlooked. Sadly, mixed-breed dogs are at the highest risk of being abandoned and euthanized. In fact, around 80% of dogs in shelters are mutts, and purebreds are usually adopted much faster.
National Mutt Day was created in 2005 by animal advocate Colleen Paige to change that raising awareness, encouraging adoption, and helping more mixed-breed dogs find the families they deserve! ❤️

Whether you’re thinking about adopting or you simply want to show some love, here are a few easy ways to join in:

✨ Visit your local shelter—and maybe meet your future best friend
✨ Volunteer your time to give shelter pups some extra care
✨ Donate food, blankets, toys, or funds to support rescue efforts
✨ Share photos and stories of your favorite mutts to inspire others
✨ Already have a mixed-breed buddy? Treat them to extra snuggles, goodies, or a fun day out!

Let’s celebrate the beauty, joy, and uniqueness of every mutt. 🐶❤️

❄️ Cold Weather Tips for Pets & Strays ❄️
Keep your furry friends safe and warm as the temps drop!

🐾 Bring pets indoors — Avoid leaving them outside or in the car during colder weather.
🐾 Keep them dry — After walks in rain or snow, dry off paws and fur to keep them comfy.
🐾 Create a cozy indoor spot — Have potty pads ready for pets who may struggle to go out in harsh conditions.
🐾 Layer up! — Short-haired pups will love a warm, comfy sweater or jacket.
🐾 Outdoor pets need proper shelter — The Safe Outdoor Dogs Act requires adequate protection and care during severe weather.
🐾 Check your car — Tap your hood before starting the engine to make sure no stray cats are hiding underneath. Clean up any antifreeze leaks—it’s toxic to pets.
🐾 Help the strays, too — Leave out spare blankets or towels to give community animals a warm place to rest.

Stay warm and look out for our four-legged friends! 💙

🐶🐱 Pet parents, we need your vote! 🐾
What if you could ditch the monthly/trimonthly chews and give your pet just ONE injection a year to protect against fleas and ticks? 💉✨

Bravecto Quantum-
✅ Lasts all year
💰 Costs around $210–$280/year
📉 📉 That’s potentially cheaper than buying a year’s worth of chews ($280–$310, with rebate) — though chews can be purchased individually, monthly or every 3 months.
*Does not protect against heart worms and other intestinal worms.

Our services include: wellness exams for companion animals, spay and neutering, soft tissue surgery, dental cleaning, in house diagnostics, and now digital x-rays. The current staff includes two veterinarians and five wonderful technicians. We have expanded our practice and moved to our new location, across the street from our old clinic.
