Sonrisas is a secular, non-profit 501c(3) organization. We were created in 1983 as a project of the Junior League. Since1987, we have become incorporated, elected a Board of Directors consisting of five active local leaders, built an extensive permanent facility, and trained and employed professional instructors. Sonrisas offers therapeutic horseback riding to those with physical, mental, and emotional challenges.

Another great Boots, Buckles, and Pearls year it gets better and better each year and we couldn’t do it without the support of our donors, our community, our volunteers and our staff. A huge shout out to our auctioneer and emcee Wade Kirkwood every year the auction goes higher and higher and I know that you’re a huge part of that. Thank you to Jordan Daniel our speaker last night he did a great job sharing Maggie’s Journey before and during her time at Sonrisas. Thank you to are event coordinator Mary Willey and her committee. A lot of work goes on in the year leading up to the event and your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Special thank you to the Junior League, Goodfellow Air Force Base, our friends and family that support us and everything that we do to make this event a success. Lets get started for next years BBP2025!

(We told her to sit up straight) Boss Lady (Ruby) Y’all are awful Y’all are mean (we made her use her right hand) I’m just kiddin y’all I’m foolin She overhauls me at home! (Gettin at Ruby again! So if you would like to come out and support Betty and celebrate her we are planning to ride next Wednesday at 1:15 and then have a little birthday party to celebrate her 92nd birthday! You’re welcome to come and join us!
