Pawtify was formed during our time together at Codeup in 2018. We first heard about Geekdom’s CivTechSA civic challenges during a presentation by Joyce Deuley at Codeup. The Animal Care Services (ACS) civic challenge intrigued both of us and we decided to pursue a solution for our CodeUp final capstone project. In just a matter of weeks, we were able to scope out, develop a small-scale solution that we presented at Codeup’s graduation demo day event. Our presentation caught interest with Joyce, ACS, and the innovation team which ultimately led us to be apart of the City of San Antonio and Geekdom’s Incubator Program. We are very honored to receive this opportunity and look forward to watching Pawtify make a difference in the live of rescue animals. Pawtify's mission is to reduce the number of animals euthanized in shelters by providing real-time information to adopters and shelter inventory management solutions, ultimately raising the quality of life for animals and number of pet adoptions in the city.
