I have been terrible about keeping up with posting the daily chaos that is fostering puppies. At the end of the day, I love fostering puppies and I love posting about the things that make me laugh until I cry. Life has been heavy. These babies don't know it and don't care. They're just looking for the next chewy thing the four of them can fight over! I'm going to make this the priority again.

I also need to catch up!

We had a set I never posted about. They left unexpectedly and that was really tough. I grieved for weeks. Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't even know what happened to them or where they werwe adopted. I'll have to ask. Their names are Ocean and Payton. At the time, the biggest, smartest dogs we had ever had until our current ones!

Locals- a past foster puppy has escaped.
Nala & Friends Dog Rescue has been looking for hours and is on the way home exhausted. My family and I are going to look for another 45-60 mins and will be back early in the morning. We would love any help! Its about 10 minutes from our neighborhood. Please let me know if you can help! I'll leave this post up until she's found.

We enjoyed having babies so much. They're are already missed but it was so fun watching them realize their Mama and big brother were back.

This Mama has the best puppies. I will forever grab them up in seconds whenever she needs🤣

Life has reached a level recently that fostering for months at a time is not as realistic as it once was. There has been grief in that. I have found fulfillment in puppies in times finding it otherwise was not possible.

So when one of my most favorite people I met through fostering offered up her babies for a few days, we set up the pen minutes later even though it wasn't happening for several more days!

This foster Mama is impressive. Aside from Nala & Friends Dog Rescue herself, she has taught me everything I needed to know to be able to send dogs to transport who are going to do well.

Entrusting me with puppies that their foster mom spends hours upon hours working with has not been lost on me. These guys are special!

Meet Shiner (red collar) and Bluebell (blue collar), named after two iconically TX brands. Both we enjoy as well!

I realized I never gave an update on Elliot! He's clearly loved and spoiled!

Yesterday we discovered that identifying whether a kitten is male or female is actually more difficult than you'd imagine. Consequently, Ellie is Elliot now 😳

After we got back from the vet I worked in my home office for a few hours. Fenway lays in the recliner next to my desk, Daisy sleeps in a dog bed under my desk.

Daisy is terrified of thunder and all she wanted was her bed. It was pitiful. She kept looking at me as if to say, "What are you going to do about this, Mom?"😂

My husband brought home a cat a few days ago. He found her on a highway on ramp. I wouldn't have had it any other way but I'm absolutely getting as much mileage out of this as possible. Nevermind that I have zero legs to stand on because he frequently comes home to dogs that weren't in our home before he left🤣

Anyway, I have never had a cat. And have needed to learn quickly and fell in love hard. Good thing my husband worked quickly and had her claimed that afternoon.

I'd say overall, our first foret in kitten fostering has gone well. She is adorable! I'm thankful she was claimed quickly. I would not have given her up otherwise!

In true Fenway fashion, he has decided he likes being a cat foster daddy also! Daisy just wants to know why the kitten doesn't chase her when she pokes at her.😆
