Today, our last 2 puppies found their furever home, and my heart is full of gratitude and love.
Typically, our Boston puppies are adopted by 9-10 weeks, but this season has been especially challenging. Between dealing with a leak that damaged our ceiling and flooring, battling with insurance, traveling for work, and managing the pain of a spinal injury worsened by the changing weather, I found it difficult to give the usual attention to advertising and finding families for these precious pups.
But through it all, the puppies were a constant source of joy. For those of us who struggle with anxiety and depression, their cuddles, kisses, and pure love offer a rare kind of peace—something to look forward to in the midst of hard days. Honestly, I needed them more than they needed me. Watching them grow, develop their unique personalities, and interact with their siblings (and cousins!) has been nothing short of a blessing. Their playful spirits, innocent joy, and the way they love so freely filled our hearts with happiness—though, of course, the deeper the bond, the harder it becomes to let go.
This time, we were blessed with two litters, and while it could have been an opportunity for extra income, that’s never been the focus. We do this because we know there are families out there mourning the loss of a beloved Boston or hoping to give their first one a companion. We do it because I’m a caregiver at heart, and I love watching Mama take care of her babies, knowing I’m helping too. We do it because, over the years, I’ve met so many wonderful people—many of whom have become like family, especially since my own family is far away.
I know this Christmas 🎁, there will be many joyful families as Santa delivers their new furry friends, and I feel so proud to be part of that magic.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 🎄, filled with love, laughter, and puppy cuddles.
Until next year,
Payne Pups LLC ♥️🐾
