We’ve been made aware of a scam targeting pet owners in our community. Scammers are pretending to be from the San Antonio Humane Society and contacting people to claim they’ve found their missing pet. They then demand money for “urgent surgeries” or other situations.

Please note:
• The San Antonio Humane Society will never contact you to request money in this manner.
• If your pet is found, we will follow proper protocols to reunite you safely and securely.

This extra-sweet 10-month-old Retriever mix puppy is ready to find her forever family.😊 Skye was adopted from us as a puppy but unfortunately has found her way back into our care after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. Meet the sweetest bonded pair - Ruffnut and Tuffnut! ❤️ If you're looking for a duo of super calm and loving dogs, look no further! Ruffnut and Tuffnut were surrendered to us in October when their previous owner had a change in health and could no longer care for them. They have been working on adjusting to shelter life, and even got to spend some time in a foster home recently to decompress! 🥲 Their foster said they did a great job coming out of their shells, so we know that they'll do great when they get settled in their forever home.
