One of the hardest parts of chicken keeping is taking care of injured or sick birds. Last night my absolute sweetest hen suddenly decided she didn’t want to co-parent and attacked this mama and refused to let her near the chicks. I brought this girl inside and gave her 3 brooder chicks which she immediately adopted. Keeping this poor mama in a calm environment with her new babies while she heals.

Currently have one Serama pullet and 7 babies ready to go. Going to be posting more in the upcoming weeks as I sort through the growouts and babies. A mix of smooth and silkied feather type.
