FREE pet vaccinations + microchip clinics this weekend!

Time: 9 am to 11 am

*Please note, services are for City of San Antonio residents only*.

In partnership with Animal Defense League Texas and Protect Your Pet, we’ll be hosting FREE pet vaccination and microchipping events every weekend throughout SA.

What to expect: Clinic services are available for City of San Antonio residents only. Limit to 100 pets served, 3 pets per household. All services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring a current picture ID for address verification.

For your pets: All canines must remain collared and on a leash or in an appropriate carrier. All felines must remain in a carrier, one adult per carrier or two kittens per carrier. Each eligible pet 12 weeks or older will receive a 1-year Rabies vaccine. DHPP vaccines will be provided for canines. FVRCP vaccines will be provided for felines. Each pet receiving services must be microchipped or will receive a microchip at time of service.

This Saturday, February 17th is National Random Acts of Kindness Day and in celebration, we're hosting a FREE pet food distribution event! We invite all those in need to swing by and grab a helping paw for your furry companions this Saturday while supplies last.

WHEN: Saturday, February 17 | 7:30 AM –10:30 AM

WHERE: San Antonio Animal Care Services, 4710 State Highway 151

So we can help as many pets as possible, there will be a limit of 2 bags of food per household.

Help contribute to lifesaving efforts, and donate a pet crate today! 🐾

We are at max capacity and to help more pets in our care we need crates AND fosters! We can’t continue to alleviate the strain on the kennels without adequate supplies such as pet crates. We are currently in most need of large and extra-large pet crates to give our lifesaving foster parents!

Pet Crate Donations are crucial to support our foster program and help transition more pets from ACS kennels into foster homes! The pet crates we provide are essential to offer foster pets a secure and comfortable space. Not only are they helpful in preventing destructive behavior in a new environment, but they help ensure the safety of our pets.

With inhospitable conditions, we will have ZERO TOLERANCE for weather-related violations.

Let's make sure our entire family (including 🐶🐱) stays safe and warm. Here are some crucial reminders:

🐾 Bring your pets inside to shield them from the cold.

🐾 Provide shelter with three walls, a raised floor, and a roof for outdoor pets.

🐾 Ensure pets ALWAYS have access to food and clean water.

🐾 Before starting your car, check for outdoor cats seeking warmth near the hood or tires.

And a friendly reminder: Tethering dogs with chains is illegal under the Safe Outdoor Dogs Act. Animal Care Officers will be on patrol to address potential violations. If you have any concerns, report them to the City's 3-1-1 Customer Service line or online at saacs.info/311. If you are unable to reach 3-1-1, please contact SAPD's non-emergency line by dialing 210-207-7273.
