One of my favorite pastimes 🥰 My goal is to make happy, smart horses that help both them and their riders feel free. Contact me for more info about training!
Just another day in paradise ❤️ #horseriding #horsetraining
Throwback to Sonny getting his basics down ❤️
In only 12 rides with me, Poppy’s picked up softer bending, solid walk trot transitions, and is now working on strengthening her canter both directions. She’s got a long way to go, but I think she’s turning into an awesome horse! ❤️
Throwback to Bria the Tennessee Walker! I’m liking those gaiter horses more and more 😍
This is what I mean when I say I like a broke horse 🥰 #horsetraining #sanantonio #sanantoniohorsebackriding

Meet Aries! Aries is a beautiful Arabian. She was started with Parelli training which made moving her along so much easier! When I brought her home, the owner said she wouldn’t ever get in a trailer or water. By the time we parted ways, she was doing both with ease!

Meet Blue! Blue was a feral horse from Tehachapi California. He was mostly unhandled aside from some work with the halter before I found him. By the time he was ready for a new home, he was trotting, loping, collecting and trail riding!

Meet Duke. Duke is a BIG BOY being part Percheron and part mammoth donkey. When he came to me he was wearing a heavy curb bit and didn’t have enough coordination to get in more than a step of loping. After just a few short weeks, he was turning and halting in a snaffle bit and halter! A little while later, he was loping around the arena!

Meet Sonny. Sonny is an OTTB holding a lot of power. When we started together, he had all the problems of a newly retired OTTB: pawing, having trouble standing still under saddle and standing tied, pace control problems, you name it! By the time we parted ways, he was standing quiet while tied, hobbling, riding one handed, moving cattle, flying lead changing, jogging like a regular pleasure pony, and being lovely and friendly overall!
Got a horse with too much attitude and power? Let me help him/her learn to put that energy in the right place!
Meet Bria. She’s a beautiful black and white pinto Tennessee Walker. When I met her, she was very herd-bound but otherwise lovely. We spent much of our time together learning how to be away from the herd. In this clip, we’re learning how to move her feet while bending her body, and clearly doing a great job! Thank you Belinda West Akers for letting me work with your beautiful mare!
