Save A Life Dog Training

Save A Life Dog Training Welcome to the Save A Life Fam! We are Save A Life Dog Training, We opened up our affordable service dog program on January 10th, 2023. Why did we open up?
(2)

I pride myself in not only helping to give dogs second chances, but also to help individuals with disabilities and to go even further with giving individuals someone to talk to in times they need it. We opened up to help make a difference in the community. We didn’t stop there, we also are helping both people and dogs all across the globe! When you support Save A Life Dog Training, you are support

ing a business that is based around helping and supporting those around. We want to provide the upmost care for not only your pup, but also for you too! We are here for all of your dog training needs!

I want to say a thank you to those who reached out after my most recent post, my intention was never to go against the ADA laws and like many other businesses and programs we research what others do and adapt to figure out how we can better improve our own. We thrive on feedback, and feedback is exactly what I received and needed! To ensure that everything we are doing is in accordance to all local and national laws, I will be doing a revamp on Save A Life Dog Training. This is not a revamp for the name nor logo, purely to ensure all content we post and every service we provide is adhering to all the legal laws and that we can even quote the laws to better inform others. I am learning from this mistake and many others and deeply apologize for the wrongdoing I have done in regards to save a life. I am working on changing and adapting for the better, and each and every day we work towards that improvement. I understand that I will most likely never be as accepted into the community as I once was, and that is okay. I just want to be able to help those that do reach out. In addition, Alot of my services will have major changes to them, including the prices. I did very recently launch 2 options for my virtual training; free and $50 per month; but to better adapt and help individuals as well as fit everyone whom needs help into my busy schedule I will be changing this slightly. While these changes are being made I am not open for new clients, but this change should only take about a week max to get into affect. I am the only one who runs Save A Life Dog Training, and do not have any business partners, so being able to ensure I can help everyone with my busy schedule is essential. I do not want to mess anyone over, and that is and was never my intention. I understand that I have made these mistakes in the past, but I have changed and am doing everything to ensure good customer service and support and to be able to truly be there for those in the community.

08/28/2024

I want to publicly apologize for my most recent form where I requested documentation stating you need a service dog. I requested this purely to help prevent fakes, and despite doing research I was ill-informed in regards to asking for documentation but have been corrected on the legals in regards to it. I am not requesting any documentation, and have not yet had anyone nor really required anyone to send in any documentation, despite that I am fully changing this due to the laws involved in it. I will NOT be requesting any documentation, to adhere with the ADA law and any other state and USA laws in regards service animals and programs/businesses. I deeply apologize for this, and am working to correct my mistake.

In order to better aid in helping those all around the USA, I am closing my board and train. While this is not a decision I have taken lightly, as it does prevent me from offering fully trained or started service dogs that I have trained myself within my own home. I am shifting away from this, and instead offering free and low cost options virtually for those who need it the most, and want to ensure I have ample time and energy to give to those clients. Having a dog at home for a board and train, while also working full time can be difficult and exhausting, and so with this in mind, I hope this change can bring forth more positivity, energy, and assistance for all that come across myself and Save A Life Dog Training. We thank you all for what you do, and look forward to the upcoming changes to Save A Life Dog Training.

08/07/2024

As we previously mentioned, We are making some changes for the better for Save A Life Dog Training. I am not doing this for the money, and want to assist in helping to make a positive change within the community. With this in mind, I am introducing free and low cost options for Save A Life Dog Training’s Virtual evaluations and training sessions!

If you are in desperate need of assistance with training your service dog, but are unable to afford the expensive training costs, I am launching changes in prices and services to better aid individuals like yourself.

Save A Life Dog Training strives to assist individuals with disabilities in a positive and welcoming manner, we want to be able to be open and honest and help aid those who truly do need it the most. So such as our name stands for “Save A Life” we want to do just that. We understand how important a service dog can be, and how they can very much save a life, and want to better increase the chances for individuals to seek assistance with training their own service dog.

Are you curious to see if you qualify? We have 2 options, We no longer charge $50 per session or evaluation! We offer 2 options, a free evaluation and sessions option, and a $50 per month option (which includes up to 2 sessions per month, and the initial evaluation.) However, in order to best assist those who do truly need the most assistance we do require certain qualifications for our free option. This is to ensure that individuals do not take advantage of our new offer, as well as to ensure we prioritize those who need the most help. We hate to have to go through a qualification period, however we are doing it this way to best assist you and help aid those who need immediate help and assistance. We hope that you all can see it the same way as we do, there is nothing against any of you if you do not qualify for our free option, it is simply due to the outreach that we are wanting to provide, as we want to prioritize those who need the most immediate assistance. We truly do prioritize saving lives here at Save A Life Dog Training, and strongly believe in second chances.

In addition, I’m only one person, who runs Save A Life Dog Training, due to this response time during this change might be slow, due to incoming responses, but I will do my best to assist as quickly as I can.

I also do want to add, that in addition to this, all of our virtual clients are able to message me 24/7 around the clock with any questions they run into or experience during their training. This is something new I am offering, as I do know how many individuals in the past were seeking an option like this. Due to that demand and request, I am also adding to this in addition to the changes above.

Being that we do work with individuals with disabilities, I also want to mention that if only messaging and not doing virtual sessions works best for you, we can 100% go that route instead. As I know flexibility can be the most important and valued thing during training. If you would rather go this route, please let me know! Or if you would rather prioritize video calls, or audio calls, either way is completely fine! Just be sure to include that in our google form on the last question, so I can best assist and know in advance. Thank you.

To go through our new process: Please complete the google form and we will get back with you shortly. Thank you.

To complete our google form please click/copy the following link. Please ensure that you are logged into your google account to complete. Thank You.

Save A Life Dog Training strives to help make a change for the better, While I admit in the past I have made more than several mistakes, which has led to the blacklist posts against me in the major service dog community blacklist group. I am trying to be better, which is the main reason for some upcoming changes to my program, which will soon be announced within the next upcoming weeks to months. I do not do this for the money, and simply want to help. I work a full time job, alongside run another small business (that I should add, a % does go towards Mental Health America to spread awareness for those struggling with PTSD.) I could care less about how much I make from Save A Life Dog Training. While yes the extra source of income is nice, I did not open up save a life for the money factor. While last year I was struggling, as it was my main source of income, that has changed, and I hope to become better about myself as not only an individual with a disability, but also a trainer in the community as well.

I am attempting to rebuild somewhat of a name in the community, and spread the positivity as I once did last year, prior to my mental health struggle and physical struggle which was ultimately due to my ex-husband. Leaving him was the best decision I made, as he was mentally and physically abusive, however I was not prepared for the mental struggles upon leaving him, that left me not as myself for several months, and the amount of flashbacks and PTSD I had afterwards due to the damage that was caused. This is when I was blacklisted, I will admit I failed the community and those I supported and helped the most during those times. I am seeking to rebuild that, now that I have overcame those struggles and mentally improved throughout the year of 2024.

I greatly miss my amazing clients I once had in 2023, and the amount of individuals and dogs that I once did help, and I aid in once again achieving that same customer support that I once did but this time with more positivity and support than I ever once gave. I deeply apologize, and own up to the mistakes I made back in mid-late 2023 and early 2024. My intention was never to hurt anyone, or to scam anyone, that is not who I am as a person or business. I am an extremely caring person, who puts everyone before myself. Which is why I am speaking up in my most recent posts, spreading honesty and truth, and providing services that are affordable for everyone within the community (even those who can’t afford training.)

My main priority with Save A Life Dog Training is helping those who need it, but are unable to afford it. And I hope people can overlook my past, and look to the future as I am really trying to rectify my mistakes and do better within the community and as an individual all together. I know it will take time, I do not expect results or even forgiveness overnight, but I hope that speaking up does show something as far as who I am as an individual.

To a better future for all and to overcoming the past and all of our past struggles,
-Katie Seals

For a limited time we are offering $15 service dog evaluations! On a normal basis our evaluations are $50, however we are not only trying to build new clientele but also help individuals with ensuring their prospect is the right match for them! We are also offering this sale to help handlers determine things they need to work on as a team, and better assist them for their future.

How does our evaluation work? Our evaluation is in 2 parts!
Part 1: I will send a google form to complete with in-depth questions in regards to you and your dogs partnership, behavioral, and training. You will also forward videos via email or messenger for me to review.
Part 2: 30 minute video call in regards to evaluation results and an in-depth video analysis. If you prefer a audio call, we can do arrange that way as well.

If you are interested in this special offer, please message me today to start this unique opportunity. If you also need assistance with training, I do offer virtual training sessions and can work with your budget! I do still have one remaining board and train spot open, which is open for a hypoallergenic dog. HOWEVER, if you are needing a short term for a started service dog I am willing to bring in a dog that does shed. If you are interested in any of our options, please message our page or my personal account Seals.

07/07/2024

You may have noticed a drastic change in my online presence in the service dog and dog community, I want to explain why and explain what services we may or may not offer now that we have changed our program entirely.

Last year I escaped a domestic violence relationship, a relationship that prevented me from really providing the best service and the services I truly wanted to provide for others. When I left that relationship, I had a lot going on and won’t lie I made quite a number of mistakes which ultimately led to me being blacklisted in the service dog community, alongside that I ended up having to find a new home for my own personal service dog in training as well as a program dog I had hopes of placing a few short months after. My own personal sdit is thriving as a pet with family, and I get to see her regularly, but it is not the same. The program dog I had was quickly re-adopted at Austin Animal Center after the training I had put into him. I want to explain though, while I have been blacklisted several months ago, I want to come on here and publicly apologize for it all as well as announce that after months of working on myself and putting myself first, I am ready to take the lessons I learned and use them.

Since leaving my ex last November, any dogs that I had in training received more care and attention and became my priority and life even more than before and went out on outings and for training on a daily basis. While I was with my ex, I was unable to provide the level of training and outings I had desired for my service dog program, now that I am free I am able to provide the upmost customer service I can provide and really make a fresh new name for Save A Life and myself. I deeply apologize for any and all mistakes I have made, however I do also want to make clear that there is no full truth to the blacklist posts that were made against me, and the slanders and accusations that were made against me. Despite being in an abusive relationship, I did my very best to ensure the safety and health of each and every dog in my care, and each were complimented on their well-being and condition. While I do admit they did not receive the amount of training I wanted in the amount of time I wanted, which lengthened the amount of training it took, which was caused by my ex preventing me from doing so. I am now able to provide the training and everything to the standard I had when I first opened Save A Life. But, due to the slander and backlash and blacklists against me, I am no longer offering or really open as I once was. However if you are interested, despite all that has been said in regards to my program, and want to give me a chance or a second chance now that I have full freedom, my messages and emails are open. ([email protected]) (Any phone numbers listed I no longer associate with, please do not attempt to contact me via any phone number posted online.)

I am not saying what I did was right or wrong, I did make mistakes, but alongside that individuals did also slander my name wrongfully and share information that was no accurate nor truthful. However, I am not getting into detail on such accusations, as I want to put it all behind and start fresh. Starting fresh starts with this post.

While I have closed my board and train, with the exception of short term basic training of hypoallergenic dogs that are local to San Antonio Texas. Which I have limited to one spot at a time, to ensure that I can devote individual time to the pup in my home. I still have my matchmaking open, and offer my pay what you can matchmaking service (Minimum of $20). I have had, and have continued to have great success with this service, and great enjoy offering it. I am also still offering my virtual evaluations and in person evaluations for service dogs, However this evaluation is now done in the form of a PDF that is to be filled out and videos that are to be sent in prior to a video call to explain the results of the evaluation in great depth. As far as my sessions go, I am casually offering virtual and in person, however they are not a priority for me and are purely to help others in need.

My prices are flexible, as I am attempting to just get my foot back in the door with helping people and their dogs. My schedule however is not as open as it once was, I do work a full time job as well as run an art business; where I also help others start up their own businesses on the social media side, so this is why I am only casually offering training sessions at the moment.

I have awaited writing this post for some time, as it is a difficult post to make as I do fear the backlash I will receive for making this post. However, I feel it is best to come forward and if we all can agree to start fresh with open eyes. I can assure you, Save A Life is only going to go up from here as far as advancement and customer support and service goes. Those blacklist posts were at a time in my life where I was at my lowest, and when I lost everything I had worked so hard for, and now I feel it is time to go back to doing what I love and being there for others as I once was, whilst providing an even higher level of standard.

If you, or if you know of anyone, who might be in need of assistance, feel free to send me a DM and I will do my best to assist you.

We are so excited to hear that Simon was adopted and is thriving in his new home! I personally evaluated Simon multiple times, not for service dog work, but just as a possible match for a family. He was the sweet thing ever, He was essentially born (meaning arrived at a very very young age) at AAC, adopted, and then returned and had been there ever since. He has lived a majority of his life in the shelter, so it is amazing to see that he has found his home, and such an amazing one at that!
