INTRODUCING...WINNI!!

Winni is a 1-2 yr old torti point himalayan. She is fully vetted (spayed, fiv/felv negative, microchipped, vaccinated, etc) and is ready for her forever home.

Winni came to us from a retiring breeder. She was kept caged/confined, so she's just now getting brave enough to come out of her safe room here & start exploring. Because Winni takes some time to adjust, she would do best in a quiet, stable home.

Winni is fine with other cats. She's fine with dogs. Older/no kids. Winni would be fine as an only cat too.

Once she trusts you, Winni is a *really* sweet baby. She just needs someone to be patient during the first couple weeks.

Adoption fee - $450.

INTRODUCING...ALERIA!!!

Aleria is an almost 2 year old lilac lynx point himalayan. She is fully vetted (spayed, fiv/felv negative, microchipped, vaccinated, etc) and is ready for her forever home.

Aleria came to us from a retiring breeder. She had been caged/confined prior to coming into rescue. Because of this, Aleria is initially shy in new situations/with new people. But after she trusts you, Aleria is very sweet & demanding of affection! She is great with other cats. She would be fine with dogs (as long as she's introduced properly). Older/no kids.

Aleria did come into rescue with her sister, Cinnabarina. We will give priority to applicants wanting to adopt the girls together.

Adoption fee - $450.

Cinnabarina (aka Cinna) is an almost 2 year old blue lynx point himalayan. She is fully vetted (spayed, fiv/felv negative, microchipped, vaccinated, etc) and is ready for her forever home.

Cinna came to us from a retiring breeder. She had just had a litter of kittens, so her coat is still recovering.

Cinna is an amazing girl who is very interactive, affectionate, and friendly. She is great with other cats. She would be fine with dogs (as long as she's introduced properly). Older/no kids.

Cinna did come into rescue with her sister, Aleria. We will give priority to applicants wanting to adopt the girls together.

GUESS WHO'S READY FOR ADOPTION???

Cinnabarina & Aleria!

These gorgeous lynx point himalayan girls are finally ready for their forever homes!!

Cinnabarina (aka Cinna) is a lilac lynx point. Aleria is a blue lynx point. Both are about 20 months old.

These girls are great with other cats. They would probably be fine with cat-friendly dogs (if introduced properly). Cinna is very friendly from the getgo; Aleria is initially shy in new situations & with new people. They are great about grooming - combing & daily eye cleaning.

Both would do best in calm, stable persian-experienced homes. These girls get along wonderfully, we would love to get them adopted together. ❤️ Each girl's adoption fee is $450, together $850.

This last week has been rough (with the loss of Alice & Patrick). But I saw something tonight that amazed me & made me smile.

RIP PATRICK

I'm really sad to give this update. This is the absolute hardest thing about rescue - the hope you have for a newly rescued animal, only to have that hope turn into sadness.

From the getgo, I just had a feeling something was really-really wrong with Patrick. Every time I had to medicate, or when I bathed him, he started hyperventilating & breathing in gasps. And, in the past, the cats I've dealt with who acted like this had severe heart issues.

So when I took Patty in for his recheck, I asked them to do a chest xrays in addition to the bloodwork. The xray showed that his heart was like double the size it should be. Dr R said it was a "Valentine heart". So cardiomyopathy. SEVERE cardiomyopathy - the damage done to Patrick's heart was irreversible, untreatable, and unmanageable.

Dr R said based on the bloodwork & the xrays, he was surprised Patrick hadn't just literally died in my arms.

So I did choose to help him not suffer anymore.

RIP Patrick. 😭

❤️CURRENT NEEDS❤️

We have 12 cats coming in this weekend. (Yes, apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. 😁)

We are running low on some supplies. Help a girl out?

I literally only have one bag of Ultra Clean Tracks litter. We are out of rabbit Vital Essentials freeze dried raw. And we are really low on Stella & Chewy's Duck Duck Goose freeze dried raw.

PATRICK IS HERE!!!

The little boy arrived from Laredo. I trimmed his nails, gave him a Capstar (to kill the multitude of fleas), and took him straight to Schertz Animal Hospital.

Once they examine him & call me, I'll update y'all. For sure he has an abcess on his face - whether it's from outside injury or dental issues is TBD. His skin is in ROUGH shape. He's not neutered (of course).

But he was not scared & came right out of his carrier. Bless his heart. ❤️

MEDICAL KITTY #1

We have two severe medical cats coming in this week. This baby is the first. He was horribly neglected & recently thrown outside.

This kitty was picked up by a temp foster last night. She reported that he is emaciated, matted - and so starving that he was eating kitty litter. 😥 He also has what appears to be an abcess on the left side of his face.

RIP Alice

‘Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast ‘

12 years ago you were rescued along with your sister , Dorothy.
You had a pr*****ed re**um- twice!!

You had eye surgeries multiple times.

You had the worst allergies.

You were a hot mess with a heart of gold. You loved everyone- and everyone loved you.

Last year you went in for your annual check up and we were reminded of your advanced age- almost 11.
This year, we noticed that you weren’t as spry as you once were and three months check up’s became the norm.
Twice we thought it was time, but you rallied- bringing happiness to the chaos and love to us both.

This time, there was no rallying. You’re over 12 now- we just really stopped aging you at six!!!!!!

And you were tired. You let us know it was time to go forever rest at the Rainbow Bridge.

You were Beth’s sweet baby girl , Allie, but you were our Alice.

You ate at your own spot and on your time.

Thank you for forever being young at heart.

INTRODUCING...MARVIN!!

Marvin is a 3-4 year old flame point bi-color himalayan male. He is fully vetted (neutered, fiv/felv negative, microchipped, vaccinated, etc) and is ready for his forever home.

Marvin is very friendly & affectionate. He is cat & dog friendly. He'd also be fine as an only cat. Older children only.

Marvin is a higher maintenance persian. He needs daily eye cleaning (including the application of the Eye Envy powder) and frequent combing. He also has some food sensitivies & would do best on a diet with no chicken (raw/freeze dried would be ideal).

Adoption fee - $350.

PATRCK UPDATE! I just picked Patrick up from the vet. Complete bloodwork showed elevated white blood cell count & he is anemic. They clipped & cleaned the abcess on his face. He is fiv/felv negative (yay!). He is on 3 meds - an antibiotic, a steroid, and an iron supplement. And he got a Convenia injection. Because he was flea infested, that could be the cause of the anemia - but fleas also spread mycoplasma infection. Which also results in anemia. So we are treating for both anemia in general AND for mycoplasma. He is scheduled to go back on Monday for a recheck. They are going to redo his bloodwork. If his red blood cell count is better, they will sedate him - neuter him, do xrays to make sure the abcess is not due to a issue with his teeth/roots, and do any necessary dental work. PIXIE UPDATE!!! Pixie had nares surgery (nose holes widening surgery) yesterday. They did NOT have to shorten her soft palate!! So her recovery should be pretty easy. 🤞 Pixie is already running around this morning!! She looks a little rough - I didn't have it in me to clean her face.
