Meet “Senorita”! She is up for adoption with DAAG- Dominion Animal Advocates Group. She came in last week after getting her leg stuck in a fence. Due to extensive skin and nerve damage we were not able to save her limb so an amputation was done by our veterinarians.
Due to several factors her initial family is not able to keep her so DAAG helped with her surgery and is finding her a new home. Please contact them if you’re interested.l in adopting her!
Her amputation was yesterday & she’s already up and moving around and feeling much better since her damaged leg is no longer hurting her. Her initial family is fostering her until she is adopted out.

It’s a Double Doodle Tuesday! Holly and Banjo came to see Dr. Gil today for their check ups!
Ear mites!!! We found these examining a stray momma cat and kittens brought in by a rescue group. We started treatment so she should be much more comfortable very soon.

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us help Angie after her apartment fire. And the winners are.....
This patient recently had a dental cleaning. Due to his periodontal disease and gingival recession he needed extractions.
When we extract teeth with multiple roots we often remove alveolar bone and cut the tooth into sections to perform the extraction. Here we are using the high speed tool to remove bone.
Our goal is to prevent dental disease with annual cleanings. But sometimes we see the patient once their dental disease is advanced. We hope this sweet boy feels great in a few days once he has recovered! 🦷
Watching puppies on the ultrasound is always so exciting! At the end of the video Dr. Shaw will point out one of the heartbeats!
Dr. Shaw finally remembered to give her dog Kouper his flea and tick prevention (Simparica) two weeks late. Thankfully he is on the Proheart 6 injection for heartworm prevention so he will be protected.
We know life gets busy, work, kids, etc. and being compliant with medication can be tough. If your dog isn’t on the heartworm Prevention injection let us know so we can take one thing off your to do list each month and keep your dog protected!
