We are a small family owned and operated dachshund breeder located in south Texas, right on the border of Floresville and Poth, Texas. We raise cattle, raise and train horses, and exclusively breed dachshunds. Dachshunds are such a lovable breed....ALWAYS entertaining, and stubborn as a mule! 🤪
We came up with the name “Muddy River Dachshunds” because our dogs were always swimming in the San Antonio river, the pond, and water troughs and came back home filthy and MUDDY! 🤦‍♀️🤣

What better way to introduce you to Halley than on my 35th birthday 🥰 Another year older, another member of the pack (really need to stop doing this 🤭🥴).

Halley joined our family almost 4 weeks ago. She’s a little chocolate based shaded red dapple, carrying cream and piebald. She has lovely long, low set ears and will hopefully grow to be a good match for Lloyd one day 🥰 Together they can produce some beautiful colour combinations.

Lately I haven’t really been feeling like sharing much on Facebook, the constant judgement becomes overwhelming at times and Facebook starts to become unenjoyable. I often seem to be held at a different level of judgement than most are on here and I’m unsure why. Maybe this is just the annual birthday depression speaking lol.
