🎃👻 Halloween Scavenger Hunt Shenanigans at Covenant Care! 👻🎃

Our boarding manager, Chloe, whipped up an extra-special Halloween adventure for our amazing boarding techs! She sent the girls on a spooky scavenger hunt around the clinic, complete with clever riddles and fun clues at every turn. The prize? Adorable gift baskets crafted by Chloe herself, filled with treats that were well worth the hunt! 🧺✨

It was all smiles, laughter, and a dash of mystery as they raced from clue to clue, soaking up the Halloween spirit. We love creating these little moments to make our techs feel seen, appreciated, and part of a team that knows how to have fun together! 🎉💙

🎃 Happy Howl-o-ween from Covenant Care Animal Hospital! 🐾

Halloween is all about treats and tricks, but let’s make sure it’s a safe celebration for everyone – humans and pets alike! Here are some tips to keep your furry friends safe and your holiday full of fun:

👻 No Tricks with Treats! Keep the candy out of paw’s reach – chocolate and sweeteners like xylitol can be dangerous for pets.

🎃 Costumes with Care: Make sure your pet’s costume is comfortable and doesn’t restrict their movement, vision, or breathing. If they’re happier without it, a festive collar or bandana is a perfect alternative!

🕯️ Decor with Caution: Curious noses + candles or cords = possible accidents! Opt for battery-operated candles in your jack-o’-lanterns to keep things spooky and safe.

🍬 Stranger Danger: Some pets may be spooked by all the new faces in costumes. Consider setting up a cozy, quiet space for them to retreat to during trick-or-treat time. Making sure your pets microchip information is also up to date is very important in case our furry friends accidentally run out of the house.

Xylitol (also called birch sugar) is a common sweetener found in sugar-free gum, candies, and even some peanut butters—but it’s super dangerous for your furry friends! Just a tiny bit can cause a big insulin spike in dogs, leading to low blood sugar, seizures, or even liver failure. 😱 Keep your pets safe by double-checking those ingredient labels and steering clear of human snacks and desserts for them. 🛑🍬
