Happy MEET THE TEAM MONDAY!

We’re excited to introduce this week’s team member spotlight, San Antonio native Dr. Jaylen Aronson! Dr. Aronson earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in 2024, going on to complete her clinical studies at Texas A&M University. With special interests in dermatology and surgery, Dr. Aronson is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients. 🩺👩‍⚕️

Studying at St. George’s University in Grenada provided Dr. Aronson with unique opportunities. One of her most memorable experiences during vet school was vaccinating a camel named Stan! 🐪

Dr. Aronson’s four-legged family members include three dogs and a cat: Theodore, Anubis, Percy, and Finn. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, cooking, spending time with her husband and family, and occasionally taking a dance class.

We’re lucky to have Dr. Aronson on our team and take great joy in watching her thrive as she grows into her role as a veterinarian.

Join us for our first Trivia Thursday! 🐾 (Stay tuned for the answer later today...)

Did you know fleas can survive temperatures as low as 33 degrees? They're not just annoying pests - they can cause health issues like Bartonellosis, Allergic Dermatitis, and Tapeworms in our furry friends.

Keep your pets protected with year-round flea & tick prevention, as even indoor pets can be at risk!

🦷🐾 Dental health is essential for our four-legged friends! Proper care can prevent serious health issues such as heart, liver, and kidney disease, bone damage, and infections.

Brushing your pet's teeth, using dental chews, and water additives can help maintain good oral hygiene. Be on the lookout for these signs that your dog may have dental problems:
👉 Bad breath
👉 Discolored teeth
👉 Bleeding gums
👉 Loose or missing teeth
👉 Drooling
👉 Difficulty eating
👉 Weight loss
👉 Pawing at mouth
👉 Head shaking

When it comes to your furry friend’s oral care, always make sure any products you use are pet-safe. 🚫 Human toothpaste can be toxic to dogs.

Welcome to MEET THE TEAM MONDAY!

Dr. Amy Moerbe is the Medical Director at our practice, bringing her extensive expertise and passion for veterinary care to lead our team. A graduate of Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, Dr. Moerbe specializes in dermatology, preventative care, and surgery. 🩺👩‍⚕️

Outside of her role as Medical Director, Dr. Moerbe is a dedicated Texas A&M sports fan and enjoys staying active with her family and attending her kids' sporting events. Her four-legged family members include several dogs, cattle, goats, and donkeys. Dr. Moerbe also loves attending stock shows and enjoys the outdoors through activities like camping, traveling, and hiking.

Her nurturing spirit is not just limited to animals; she is also known for performing "teddy bear surgeries" on stuffed animals for kids. We are so happy to have Dr. Moerbe as part of our team, and her dedication to both her profession and her family truly shines through in everything she does. 🐾💉
