Our Adoption Program:
Helotes Humane Society operates a foster-based rescue and adoption program, so all of our animals for adoption are kept in approved foster homes, allowing our rescued pets a safe haven and home environment to learn and grow in while they await their forever home, providing both the animal and adopter a head start on the adjustment process. This also allows our adoption team t

o provide insight about each animal's personality, temperament, training, and more. Our Community Programs:

With possible snow in our forecast we couldn't resist getting you acclimated with video of another one of our alumni living in Canada. ❄️ Charlie was found abandoned in a local park. He was adopted by a loving new family and now gets playtime with his Weimaraner cousin.
Thank you to his foster family for caring for this boy until he found the right match! 💞
