Last week was exciting!!! 🤩

Office of Historic Preservation brought a tour - representatives from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality - to show their materials being reused. Did you know Dawn's Harvest is reusing materials gathered from deconstruction and salvage across the city? Our oldest materials date back to the 1870s! 🕰️ You can see the base of our roof has signage salvaged from the former Kelly Field. Once completed, we will have several signs sharing more information about the history of the materials and space.

Dawn's Grandparents also returned for the weekend to help continue building the cashier kiosk (while she played at the zoo!) and our co-founders nearly completed the first storage shed! 🙌🏽

We've got more work continuing throughout this month! Thank you to our friends and family who have contributed to the build out and to our neighbors who keep stopping by to check on our progress! ✨ We appreciate you all so much!!!

Thanks to my Dad and his friend, Lupe, who came through to help us begin building what will be our cashier kiosk this past weekend! 🙌🏽

The materials being used for this structure and our pergolas are from historic properties around the San Antonio area. In the future, we'll have plaques to show where everything came from! Thank you to our partners at the Office of Historic Preservation for sharing this history with us!

It's true - we're celebrating 2025 by opening our urban Farm and farm stand in Denver Heights, San Antonio! Like our pop-up micro-nursery, we will continue to cultivate healthy plants, seasonal organic produce, and native seeds through sustainable practices, only now we will officially become and urban Farm and y'all can visit our storefront! 🙌🏽

Our spring 2025 Grand Opening date will be announced soon!

Thank you so much to all of our amazing customers, neighbors, pop-up market managers, family, and friends - we wouldn't be here without your support over the past year at our pop-ups! 💗 We hope you will continue to support and shop at Dawn's Harvest as your source of organic, seasonal produce, plants, and seeds.

Over 2024, we also partnered with numerous organizations to sustain and educate Dawn's Harvest.

Our exciting growth is all because of our newly formed partnerships with and @ 36square ( & hubs) who believe in our sustainable vision and have directly contributed to our urban Farm establishment and operation. We appreciate your expertise, support, and encouragement and are so thrilled to have your partnership! 🤗

We would also like to acknowledge the educational curriculum and community our founder experienced through Urban Farming & Gardening Master Class and Class # 67 through ! Thank you all for your ag Ed leadership in San Antonio!
