Urgent Notice to Our Community: Re-register Your Pet's Microchip Immediately!

Our shelter does not use this registry, we use 24PetWatch. If your pet was adopted from Bulverde Area Humane Society, your microchips are registered and safe. No need to call this shelter for status.

Save This Life, an Austin based microchip company and a national pet microchip company, has shut down without warning. As a result, thousands of pet owners can no longer access their pets’ microchip information, posing a serious risk if their pet becomes lost.

What You Need to Do Immediately:

Check Your Pet’s Microchip Registration by contacting your veterinarian office or pet rescue.

If your pet’s microchip was registered with Save This Life, you need to re-register it with a different registry as soon as possible. You can do that through your veterinarian office or the organization you adopted your pet from.
