Thank you everyone for all your love and support for BARK! dog walking service🐾 with the summer heat. It is important to take certain measures if you do decide to have your pup out in this weather. 1. Hydration is key! Make sure you and your pup are very hydrated. Grab a bottle of water and or a collapsible dog dish for easy access. 2. Avoid 11 AM to 8 PM if at all possible. If you do find yourself needing to be out with your pup in the extreme heat, limit to only 15 minutes. Not only can they overheat and get heat stroke but you can too. Also pls watch their paws. They can burn from sun exposure & even bleed from the pavement and may lead to infection. 3. Indoor play and treadmill’s work great! 4. If you realize your dog is overheating, stabilize your pup with a (wet towel in a freezer for about 5 minutes) And wrap the towel around your pup until you can get veterinary help.
