Sooo…we got a call that Clara’s sibling showed up this morning at Guadalupe Animal Control- we couldn’t just leave her there all alone after taking in her sister, so help us welcome little Noelle to HOTK9Rescue / Heart of Texas SPCA! Stay tuned for updates on her & Clara! As always, our non-profit, no-kill dog rescue runs solely by public donations, so every penny helps us with the all the care these pups will need. I may look familiar to you, but I'm a new puppy. You might remember my sister, Clara, that Heart of Texas K9 Rescue just took into the rescue. Everyone is pretty sure we are related. The most important thing is that we are both safe thanks to HOTK9 Rescue.

I got picked up and put in a big kennel all by myself and I was pretty scared. Lucky for me the volunteers came today so they took care of me. The call went out for help and HOTK9 Rescue said they would help me. I guess my sister, Clara, really impressed them and she vouched for me.

Ms. Cortney drove me to the vet for HOTK9. That's me in the picture when I arrived. I love being held. I feel so much safer now.

I am going to be in a foster home for Christmas. My first Christmas ever won't be spent in that huge GCAC kennel all by myself with all the scary noise.

I'll be warm and loved with experiences to last my lifetime. Christmas really is a magical time.

Over the weekend we took in a lone 6 week old puppy that found itself at Guadalupe Animal Control. She is currently with one of our fosters and will be seeing our vet today. Meet Clara…welcome to HOTK9 sweet baby-stay tuned for updates!

It's hard for me to understand what's happening all around me. It's not hard for me to feel that I'm safe and loved.

Somehow or another I landed in GCAC, but not for long. Ms. Susan came to take care of me as fast as she could and then Heart of Texas K9 Rescue / Heart of Texas SPCA found a foster for me and took me in.

Everyone knew how important it was to get me out of the kennel environment because I'm only about 6 weeks old and 10 pounds. I'm safe in my foster home away from all the barking dogs and scary sounds. I get picked up and cuddled and it feels really good.

I get a soft blanket where I sleep and wake up to good food and playtime. This is way better than anything I've ever known.

And now we're getting ready for Christmas. Everyone is happy and eager for the big day. Every day is a big day for me because of HOTK9 Rescue and my foster family.

I hope everyone is as safe and happy as I am for the holidays and forever. Look for me at HOTK9 if you want to adopt me. I'll be looking for you too.

Hello everyone,
Well the towel supply at HOTSPCA is pretty low at the moment. So if anyone has some bath towels they would like to get rid of we will happily take them. Donations can be dropped off every day between 11:00am and 3:00pm, just call when you get to the gate.
(we are good on blankets)

Towels can also be dropped off at our holiday donation station at VCA Henderson Pass Animal Hospital- 2558 Thousand Oaks Dr, 78232. M-F 7am-6pm if you don’t want to travel to the shelter.

Help us welcome Holly ♥️🐾, our newest addition. This sweet, six-week-old baby was brought to a local animal control facility that is faced with the difficult decision of euthanizing due to space constraints. Fortunately, the volunteers at the facility quickly responded by issuing an urgent SOS for assistance, which we were able to answer.
Today, Holly underwent her initial veterinary examination at VCA Henderson Pass Animal Hospital where she received exceptional care from Dr. O'Brien and his team, who also took these adorable pics for us! ♥️
Currently, Holly is in foster care and not at the shelter. We will provide ongoing updates regarding her progress.
