Sophie’s story - When I first groomed Sophie, two years ago, she had never been in a professional grooming environment. She had only received home grooms. Sophie was scared and untrained (when it came to grooming). Our first groom left me with a broken table and torn tendons in my hand & thumb. I was in pain for months and had to wear a cast while I continued grooming. But her family loved the way she looked when I finished and asked l me to keep working with her. Since then she has been on a regular schedule and knows what is expected of her. She runs out, tail wagging, jumps into the seat and waits until I tell her to come get in the tub. She helps herself into the tub, she turns when I ask and she stands perfectly still for the entire process. Sophie is the prime example of why I want all my dogs to be groomed regularly. She was terrified, but now she enjoys the process and wants to “help” me.
