SIOBHAN // Client Service // 5 years; Siobhan has one of the biggest hearts you will ever find. The amount of compassion and caring she shows everyone, especially during times of grief, is invaluable. She has the rare ability to listen attentively and offer comforting words, all while providing genuine support without judgment.

RYAN // Back Office Manager // 6 years; If you know Ryan, you know there isn’t much he doesn’t know or can’t do. But what makes it even more impressive is his humbleness. He’s often the first one to offer lending a hand without hesitation or expectation of anything in return. His quiet strength while remaining grounded is admired by us all.

TONI // Front Office Supervisor // 6 years; Toni is as reliable and dedicated as they come. As head of the client service team, she is always here - working hard and setting the best example. Toni’s tireless work ethic and loyalty is a testament to her character, and it's fulfilling to witness the impact she has made on the team.

JENNIFER // Pharmacy Assistant // 11 years; Jennifer’s attention to detail is second to none, which is why we trust her in such an important role. Her thoroughness makes her an indispensable asset. And even with her workload she’s still often the first one to dive in to support her teammates when it’s needed; from helping coworkers with backed up phone lines to providing surprise snacks in the kitchen.

DR. TERRY // Veterinarian // 11 years; Dr. Terry’s level of patient care is truly exemplary, and we are fortunate to have her as an integral part of the hospital & team. Not only does she possess a deep understanding of complex medical issues, but her empathetic approach to veterinary care sets her apart, often treating her patients as if they were her own. Dr. Terry’s dedication to not only diagnosing and treating her patients but also to ensuring the emotional well-being of both pets and their human companions, is invaluable.

DR. LIU // Veterinarian // 11 years; Dr. Liu has an extraordinary quality we here have all seen in action many times; the ability to stay calm and focused during highly stressful, trying situations. It’s a fascinating thing to get to witness, especially during emergencies. In the face of pressure, her focus and fearlessness speaks volumes and can have a significant impact on those around her as well as the outcome. To say Dr. Liu is a strong asset would be an understatement.

CRYSTAL // Veterinary Assistant // 16 years; You want Crystal working if your pet is coming in... She is one of our most skilled and highly experienced veterinary assistants, having worked in both general practice and emergency medicine for over 30 years. Those that work with Crystal naturally look to her as another leader and strong voice. After 16 years of loyalty and impressive work ethic, Crystal has become a pillar to the Sequoia team.

Sparky getting his heart ultrasound with Dr. Jorgensen. Luckily he won't need heart medications and is ok for anesthesia. Pre-anesthetic tests like bloodwork and ultrasounds are important to make sure the heart, liver and kidneys are functioning properly before performing procedures under anesthetic. He'll come back for his endoscopy to check out his digestive tract so we can help him digest his food properly..

Jinkx has quite the story to tell! This beautiful pup was rushed into SVH after being hit by a car, resulting in serious injuries. After being transferred to SAGE, it was determined amputation was the best chance of recovery for this spunky puppy.

One less leg certainly doesn’t slow her down! According to her dad, Jinkx is “full of life and energy and not at all worried about how many legs she does or doesn’t have.”

We were spoiled to get a surprise visit from Jinkx today, the first time we’ve seen her since her accident in July! And her dad showed off a commemorative tattoo he got in her honor.

Here’s to many more years of happiness, Jinkx!

Mid America Pet Food, Mount Pleasant, Texas, is voluntarily recalling three lots of Victor Super Premium Dog Food, Select Beef Meal & Brown Rice Formula produced at its Mount Pleasant, Texas production facility because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
