We hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Is everyone enjoying their time with their Weims??? WHAT??!?!?! You don't have one?????????? Well we can accommodate you if you want! We currently have quite the variety of beautiful Weimaraners for adoption. We have THREE female 12 week old puppies coming tomorrow, we have a couple adult females ages 4 and 5. A few nice boys ages 6 and 7. Anyone interested in adding to your family? Here are some photos to drool over...not ready to take one full time? How about fostering?

UPDATE: We have received quite a few applications for the female puppies. We have closed applications on the three. We will relist if they do not get rehomed.

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP!!!!!!! We are in need of someone who has the time and energy to foster three male puppies age 4 months old. These little lovelies are active and playful. We're not gonna lie...they are a lot of work. Puppies are p**p machines. They will eat you out of house and home. (we provide the food) ...they will pull at your heart strings and kiss you to death. Not for the weak! The foster would conduct meet and greets and help us get them adopted. Anyone up for the challenge? We can get them to you and set you up with them ..they just need someone to care for them and possibly get to a vet visit. Get your puppy fix!!! Fosters also have first right of adoption! Nice way to get the pick of the three if you are interested in adopting!

BUSY BUSY!!!! Saturday is usually pretty calm when we try to focus on family life but today we have a SPECIAL girl flying to her brand new life up in Vacaville area. Most of you have not heard of our "Blue" Girl Nisha.....it's simply because she was snatched up in a heartbeat by a past adopter and family waiting for just the "right" fit. Nisha is a five year old Blue who was found as a stray. The shelter picked her up thinking she was in season...and nobody ever came for her. She is "Blue" which is really dark and looks black so she was passed up by adopters. Her Red List date was coming shortly, mostly due to the fires and shortage of space. So we got her the heck out of there and fostered for a couple weeks. She needed to be vetted and spayed. Nisha's lucky day finally came today to go to her new home. She is in the air right now with Pilots and Paws Pilot, John. Pilot Bob will intercept in Fresno then only a matter of a couple hours until Nisha is forever "home". She is off to a wonderful, loving journey and we are ecstatic for her!

NOTE # We also have three male puppies found as strays with their deceased brother... the three need homes if anyone is interested in a new Weimaraner Buddy!

18 months ago, Tristee - now Sachi - won the adoption lottery with Shannon and Izumi.

This dog was fearful and reactive around other dogs. She had 3 or 4 attempted adoptions, but kept not working out. Shannon and Izumi have been so consistent with her and clearly she leads a happy and blessed life. Thanks to all our adopters who understand adopting a rescued dog can be difficult. Look at her adventures now!

Good Sunday Morning!!!! We have been so blessed lately that most dogs that have been coming in have been immediately adopted...almost before we can get them fully vetted. It has been a whirlwind but very welcomed. Our simple goal is to get all of these guys into loving homes as quickly and safely as possible. We always need space for the new ones coming to us. We have several dogs in shelters at risk that we are working on. It looks like we may be a ghost town but trust us, the work behind the scenes never stops!!!!!

The dogs we are working on are on a stray hold for a few days then we will, again, need fosters. Get your application in if you are interested in helping. Please be serious and committed if you apply. We are in need of dedicated people who "know" that rescue is not perfect....that the dog you help literally needs you to help him survive. These guys, for the most part, have unknown pasts. Unknown parents. Rescue normally doesn't get Breeder dogs, although it does happen. We are working with the unknown and need people who have leadership qualities and a little time on their hands to help get these guys to vet visits and don't mind sharing their space with a homeless Weim. We pay for essentials...we just need the manpower!

Did anyone notice we had NO volunteer of the month for August?!?! We have been super busy behind the scenes with three owner surrender boys coming in at once...and adopted just as fast. So today, in honor of one of the boys who came in named Spirit, we are going to make PILOTS AND PAWS our honorary volunteer of the month for August. Today we had the pleasure of having Spirit flown from his foster to his adopter within a blink of an eye. The plea was put out on Friday and he is now in his new home on Sunday. Our pilot was amazing. We want to thank in particular, for this flight, Remin Pineda. Within literally minutes of our plea going on the flight board, Remin responded and offered to do the flight. He was no nonsense and offered to fly into the foster family area to pick Spirit up and literally fly him to the adopters area. Both airports were within 5 miles of their homes. Can't beat that!! We have had MANY, countless other pilots give us the same courtesy and flawless flight plans for other dogs in need. There is no doubt that these men and women spend an amazing amount of their own fuel and time away from their families to help dogs (and other animals) in need. We just want everyone to know how selfless they are and that there are still so many amazing people in this world. Pilots and Paws...we appreciate you!!!!! If you are a pilot who has helped us in the past THANK YOU.
