I captured this moments after Luna was allowed to suffer no more! I believe she was grateful for the only love she ever knew even though it was only 24 hours! Fly free precious we will meet again someday.

UPDATE:
I promised an update on this sweet, gentle girl once we had her vetted. This is not the update we wanted. We knew she was very sick and it turns out she was full of cancer, struggling to breathe. Although we wanted a chance to show her what love and nutrition was in the end our gift was to not allow her to suffer one more minute!
For those of you who donated to her care, thank you, thank you. Please let me know if you would like a refund.

We are rescuing this very sick precious girl tonight. She has been a breeding machine only. No shelter, no love and many times no food! Thanks to the concerned citizen who made us aware of her need AND will foster her until we can have her vetted and healthy.
We will have more info in a few days. She needs our prayers if you can donate to her care Fur-Ever Home would be so appreciative!

“To love a rescuer you must love all of her. You must love the scars covering her body from panicked and hurt animals she was trying to help. You must love her fractured heart, that has been broken so many times she no longer even takes the time to mend the pieces.

To love a rescuer, you must embrace her grit and determination, and know that although she fights a war she can never win, she can and does win a few battles. You must love the tears she will shed over those she lost. You must give her comfort that she refuses to accept, as she blames herself for things she could have never foreseen.

To love a rescuer you must acknowledge the rage she feels towards the world at times, and know that anger is driven by a love of life too few have. You must give her space and room to cry and mourn for the losses that others have caused out of carelessness or cruelty.

To love a rescuer you must understand her passion to heal and save is a calling, not a choice. You must accept that to save animals is part of her soul and without that she could never be happy.

To love a rescuer you must be patient. You must accept her work comes first. She will forgo sleep, forgo food, forgo her life for animals in need. She will work tirelessly until her body and mind fail her completely and she cannot go on.

To Love a rescuer, you must be strong. You must not be threatened by her focus and love of animals. You must accept that the things you love about her, the strength and convictions and loyalty are also what drives her sense of duty to animals in need; you cannot have one without the other.

To love a rescuer you must never ask her to choose, because she will, and it will not be you. “

Meet 18 month old Esteban (Crown in Spanish)! He is a precious 17 pound terrier mix. He was found a month after his drug addicted owner tried to cut his leg off with a machete. He had been dragging his lower leg all that time. When found he was close to death from sepsis. The wonderful vets in Tijuana were able to save him and remove his right front leg. Fur-Ever Home has paid all of his medical bills thanks to all who donated for him. He will be in our care in August and we will begin reviewing applications. 4 yr old Colita is looking for a home where she can be the center of someone's world! She has so much love to give and although she tolerates dogs she will do best as the only dog. Colita is spayed, UTD on vaccines and weighs 35 pounds. We think she may be an Aussie mix.

We here at Fur-Ever Home are crushed with the unexpected loss of Oleander. This precious kitty has had a rough very short life. The fabulous love and care of the doctors and staff over the last few months brought her back from death's door once. We thought she was healthy enough to be spayed and within a few hours she was in crisis. She received a blood transfusion last night but just couldn't fight anymore. Fly little Oleander, fly free without limitations! 💔

Meet tiny Tilly 4.7 pounds, not even a bag of sugar! We think she will be under 20 pounds. She is a tiny 2 month old package of precious cuddles! Milo is a two year old Maltipoo! He is a precious, playful love-bug who gets along with other dogs and would love to have another playful companion in his Fur-Ever Home. He loves to be cuddled.
Milo suffered neglect and abuse in the first part of his life and needs a home that understands his limitations. He has come very far with his trust level and only wants to please. For these reasons he will do best in a home with no young children.

Meet BG! She is a 10-month old little girl with a super sweet personality and puppy energy.
She had a rough start in Mexico - really thin and in need of medical attention. She has gained a few pounds and is now happy and healthy.
She loves to play and is quickly learning that toys are fun. She needs a minute to trust but then she's great with others dogs and people.
So far, her main talents are playing and cuddling. She's learning how to walk on a leash and can get a little overwhelmed. She calms quickly with some reassurance. She is very smart and incredibly responsive to voice commands!
She is still a puppy so housebreaking is a work in progress. She sleeps overnight in a crate with no issues although she would prefer to sleep with her human! She's the perfect mix breed - a little of everything! Whatever the mix, she's just adorable and the perfect addition to just about any family! We recommend no young children.

Festus is an energetic 9-month-old Cattle dog mix. He was rescued from the streets of Tijuana after being hit by a car and left for dead at 8 weeks old. He came to Fur-Ever Home at approximately 5 months old with some medical issues and has since fully recovered. Recently he underwent a successful hip surgery.
He is enthusiastic, extremely intelligent, and easily trainable. He knows the "sit" and "come" commands and will work for food! Festus loves to play fetch and play with all kinds of squeaky toys and nutritious chews.
He is housebroken and knows how to ring the bell to alert his need to go outside. He walks very well on a leash. He would be a great candidate for "scent training."
Festus would love to be in a home with another dog and loves everyone, especially children over six years old.

We believe that exotic Azure and Bleu are 3 month old Chihuahua/Cattledog mixes! Azure is a little girl and Bleu is the handsome little man!

Uodate: Little Pelone has been adopted! As he walked away he was wagging his tail in anticipation of sailing and cuddling and all that life has to offer!

This little boy's name is Pelone. He is about 18 months old and is a little shy at first. He gets along with other dogs and cats. He has been abandoned by humans and the rescuer saw him being kicked. He is safe for the moment but we are desperate to get him into a safe home as a foster or even better adopted.
