Awesome follow up lesson at Huntington Dog Beach with “Indy” ☀️🌊🏖️

It’s hard to convey to people that the goal of obedience training isn’t making robot dogs who are devoid of fun/emotion. The goal is this. We have a dog who can dig holes in the sand and run off leash because you know the come command or leave it command are solid when you need it 🙌🙌🙌

At the end of the day obedience training should enrich not only an owners life but should enrich the dogs life too.

If your pup has already completed a boot camp program with us in January 2025 or prior, consider coming back for review training. Review training is a great way to refresh basics and off leash behaviors, proof to higher distractions, or add fun tricks to you pups repertoire. Review training can be any number of days long. For campers who do 5 days of review training they will get a free follow up lesson with the trainer. All review training must be completed in February 2025 for the discount.

Update: Then residents of Ortega Mountain are pretty much in the dark for when we will be allowed back. Different officials give different answers ranging from “3pm today” to “maybe 5 more days.” We are trying to be patient but hope officials have a good reason for keeping the road closed when the road from the candy store to Nichols Ave is not compromised. Edison estimated power to be restored today and now that has changed to “Estimated Restoration: Not Available.” Hopefully with the cooler weather and precipitation we received we will get news soon that residents will be allowed back. Our Story

OC Dog Ranch is the unique alternative to traditional dog boarding and training facilities. We believe in limiting the number of dogs we take so we can give every dog the attention and exercise it needs. The dogs are running and playing all day long on our 5 acre property in small, hand selected play groups. If you’ve felt guilty about leaving your dog in boarding before, we highly recommend you tour our ranch. We also understand that being away from your pet can be hard for an owner so we offer accelerated boot camp training programs so you don’t have to be away from your pet for 4-6 weeks. We can get off leash results in 12, 17 and 22 day programs! We also offer a jump start program for puppies under 4 months old!
