We love a great success story! Many nervous pups benifit from having their groomer visit them at home rather than going to the salon.

Good boy Ace!

This is the reason why I love what I do ❤️
Ace used to hide and be emotionally off for days after his grooming appointments with his old groomer. He was a pretty nervous & fearful kid when I first started with him. Over the course of the past two years I have watched him completely come out of his shell and no longer hide when he is done, but rather runs around with the zoomies, brings me his toy to play with, comes back for treats and loves, and then watches out the door as I pack up and leave. This job may be physically tolling, and even emotionally difficult at times, but it is so rewarding and worth every second 💕🐾

Dog shoes all the time is NOT the answer and can actually be detrimental by not allowing the paws to get their natural calluses...

HOWEVER, you should always be aware of the ground temp when out walking with your dog and choose grass and dirt paths when temps are extreme.

Remember, animals generally try to hide their pain as a means of survival. It's up to YOU to be proactive.

Witch hazel wipes are what I reccomend the most for wiping out dirty ears, face laps, skin and tail rolls, and dirty butts.

Knowing when it’s your dogs time is very important for their transition… I always said that the day Sw***er poops on himself while laying down would be a sure sign that it was time. He felt bad when I discovered he had that accident…when I came to him and said “oh baby…it’s ok, I’ll clean you up…” he fought like hell to try to stand and he couldn’t and I just rubbed him repeatedly and told him “ no no no lay down…it’s ok…Shhhh….just relax… I got you….” He sighed deeply and relaxed

He wanted to stay so bad for us…through all his pain. On his last night he cried all night and he’d stop when I rubbed him repeatedly ….he was saying to me that he felt he was slipping away and telling me he was tired

I stayed up alll night long, both of us in between sleep…just being together. It was like having a newborn baby.

I stress to clients to understand when it’s time. Don’t dope them up just to keep them alive for “you”…don’t ignore their language or canine dialogue….don’t ignore the signs….don’t be selfish when they need you to be selfless

I feel that for them it’s an even harder goodbye ( or until we are together again farewell)

I replay over in my mind our final moments…I learned from his hairless Chinese Crested biological brother Patrón how the end is like. He died in the exact same month Sw***er did two years earlier.

When Patròn was dieing I told him the night before that it was ok to let go and that I’d be ok….the next morning he was gone in his sleep and it hit me harder then it did when Sw***er died

When Patròn died, I threw things… ran in circles…screamed I was so sorry….upset because although I told him to let go I didn’t think he really would ( but I did at the same time if that makes sense )

My point is…the grieving is a bit easier when you are selfless….when you do what they need you to do. When you accept, acknowledge, support and tell them you love them while they are still alive to accept those flowers
