Congratulations to Redwood and his human! Redwood is our first Advanced Obedience graduate, and we’re so incredibly proud of his progress. Redwood started in our Puppy Preschool class almost a year ago, and has made his way through obedience and advanced obedience, and has even made his way from agility into advanced agility. We want to provide some information regarding the mysterious respiratory illness affecting dogs in various parts of the United States.

First and foremost, we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring the situation and are committed to the well-being of your dogs. Your trust and the safety of your canine family members are our top priorities. In response to the current situation, we are implementing additional precautionary measures to minimize any potential risks.

Understanding the Symptoms:

It is essential to be aware of the symptoms associated with this respiratory illness, which include a hacking cough, nasal discharge, eye discharge, sneezing, and lethargy.

Taking Action:

If your dog displays any of the symptoms mentioned above, we kindly request that you keep them at home and promptly contact your veterinarian for guidance.

Vaccination Reminder:

Ensuring that your dog's vaccinations, especially the bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, are up-to-date is paramount.

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols:

To maintain a safe environment for all dogs, we will be increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting our facility, including toys and equipment.

Temporary Changes to Our Puppy Playgroups:

In an abundance of caution, we have decided to temporarily pause puppy playgroups. We understand the importance of socialization, and we hope to resume playgroups soon.

Bring Your Own Supplies:

For the time being, we will not be providing mats during classes to prevent sharing them and reduce the risk of transmission. Please bring your own mat, towel, blanket, or yoga mat. Additionally, we ask that you continue to bring your dog's water bowl from home.

Preventing Nose-to-Nose Greetings:

We kindly remind everyone to avoid nose-to-nose greetings between dogs, especially during on-leash interactions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
