Why practice agility?

It’s a great way to practice your markers, communication and strengthen your relationship. Building clarity through different situations and helping your dog push through stress and insecurity can help your dog flourish!

Obedience

Obedience is more than just for show. It allows dogs to have more opportunities and live a more fulfilling life. Dogs that have a solid foundation of obedience can safely travel, go into restaurants or buildings, and it can help boost confidence in unknown situations. It also acts as a clear way to communicate with your dog which brings them confidence and clarity of expectations.

Ready to level up your skills?! This workshop is for beginners just getting into dogs or those who are interested in leveling up. Open to all breeds and ages of dogs. Brief lecture followed by working the dogs each day.

Grim had her first echocardiogram today to screen for DCM and she came back with a clean bill of health!! Yay!

So what is DCM and why do we screen for it yearly? DCM stands for dilated cardiomyopathy and is a type of heart disease that Dobermans are unfortunately genetically prone to. Grim is turning 4 soon and is a very active dog, so it’s important to routinely screen to make sure she is safe to exercise and too potentially catch it early.

Grim’s cardiologist recommended she take a daily omega 3 supplement to reduce the risk of developing heart disease.

I recommend all owners of high risk breeds screen annually but especially Dobermans! Ask your vet to schedule a consultation with a local cardiologist near you! If you’re local to San Diego, DM us for local referrals!

VET VISITS 🩺

We have a unique opportunity when it comes to training and insight to veterinary care. Our trainer Jade is a fear free certified veterinary assistant at and because of that we are able to help our clients and their dogs navigate the process of receiving care. It offers a unique experience where the relationship we develop training, directly translates to being able to perform blood draws, give vaccines, take x-rays, etc.

Pictured is Waylon . He has been training with us for quite some time and can be quite dog/ people aggressive. When he first started going to the vet he was reactive, trying to bite, and was often unsuccessful at receiving care. After working with him on this issue directly we’re now able to administer monthly injections with ease, give vaccines and draw blood! We’ve catered his care to his specific needs and now he and his owners are able to experience stress free visits.

Vet visits do not have to be a battle. In fact Jade and the rest of the staff at are fear free certified. This means that they are able to incorporate compassionate techniques to minimize fear, stress and anxiety during visits.

Because we made such huge strides in being able to work with him, we were able to diagnose and treat a cancerous tumor he had.

Hiking with dogs is a great way to exercise them and get them beneficial exposure. Especially anxious or nervous dogs to mix up their routine to involve relaxing stimulation unlike busy downtown streets.
